I’m getting a continuous steam of subtle lines down my screen, not really noticeable when gaming but it’s progressively getting worse. High contrast areas such as a white rectangle on a gray background [Forum post box], has a what looks to be after image on the right side, as if everything gets shifted to the right. So right now I have 8 lines on the side now going from light to dark to light because I’m typing this text. Is it my screen dying or the card? If it’s the monitor no biggy I have a back up, but it it’s the card, I’m buying my rig sooner then I thought…
My friend had a similar problem, turned out to be the monitor. It started out a few lines, got progressively worse until it died. You said you had a back up, I would try swapping them out and see if it corrects the problem, then you’ll know for sure.

My monitor did that for a while (lines going down the screen). Turns out it was my laptops external VGA connector that was just shitty. Try making sure it’s pushed an screwed in all the way.

Now that you mention it yeah, but I had lines and that thread is buried on page 2 or 3 I think.
Maybe this should be added to the FAQ. If you have any problems whatsoever with your monitor, make sure it’s plugged in…
