I am afraid it will be dreadfully slow on release day…and I work 1pm-9pm…but I think I can make it work! My computer can run Ep2 like it is nothing so this is gonna be some nerding to remember. I reminded my brother and he is gonna try and fix his computer up enough to get it going. I have been here since the beginning and I’m so emotional right now :’(

if we already have, say, Half Life 2, EP2 or Portal installed, then should we also install the 2007 SDK or it suffices that it’s in our Tools section albeit as “not installed”?

He’s asking if we NEED source SDK base 2007 installed, or if we could just have a source game like TF2 or HL2 installed instead.

I’m pretty sure the SDK installs automatically when you’re trying to install/play a mod. Very good chance I’m wrong about this though.
I have base 06 and 07 installed since I’ve worked with SDK for a long time. Plenty of free space for the mod, too. BRING IT OOOOONNNNNNN!!!

This is correct. No matter what, to play the mod you need to install the '07 base. If it’s not installed, upon launching the mod it’ll automatically start installing. So pretty much the mod does it all for you.
