Last teleport before Nihilanth

What is going on with that teleport before Nihilant? You can hear some voices sayed in the game before. I will not write all of it, but it’s something like it:
[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]-Let him out of there [COLOR=‘Cyan’](Test Lab C-33/a)
[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]-Thank god you’re here [COLOR=‘Cyan’](First soldier you meet)
[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]-Shut down the equipment and someone get him out [COLOR=‘Cyan’](I don’t know)
[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]-???

Now I’m not one to want time travelling in HL, but if, which I’ve not heard, these voices are from earlier on, then… I don’t know. -.-

Maybe they are voices Gordon simply remembers before teleporting there. Like he knows that he’ll fight and might not survive.

HL2: EP3
After successfully reaching the Borealis and killing everyone Gordon wakes up inside the test chamber. Having simply been knocked out and had strange dreams for the past few hours. The majority of Ep3’s gameplay consists of lying in a hospital bed watching soaps and receiving “get well soon” gifts from your fellow scientists.

The GMan walks in the room last. He walks up to your bed and adjusts his tie. He hands you an envelope and says “Hello Dr. Freeman. I dont believe we’ve ever met. I would just like to thank you for your… cooperation in this recent… experiment.”

You see those lines Gordon heard before the last teleportation were in the real world. TADA!

Ahhh… I see what’s goin’ on…GABE! You guys have been too busy with L4D2 and Portal 2 and putting Steam on Mac and what-not and you have no idea on what EP3 3 is gonna have. SOoooooooo… You’re here to see if we would be okay if you guys took the easy way out! AHAH!!!

Just kidding… That would annoy me. It’d be a kick in the pants. It’d be like waiting years for an awesome game cough Mod! cough, finally getting a release date, and at the said release date there’s a HUUUGE disapointment! :stuck_out_tongue: JK, although that does apply here…

I saw those screenies and remembered that teleport… all I know is that this teleport is going to be SEXY IN SOURCE!

They probably just did it so when you played through, you recognized some previous experience, but you just couldn’t put your finger on it, unless youve played the game more then once, its like unrecognized nostalgia, also creating a confusion moment and making you have second thoughts. Also the one comment above with the hl series being a dream and you wake up in a hospital, = mind overload

I’ve never heard this, I only ever hear the Nihilanth’s voice in that area. You sure there hasn’t been a sound fuck up or unintended scientists spawned there?

Maybe it’s an ancient teleporter or building built from whatever civilization evolved on Xen before it blew up into chunks of rock
Or Earth in the future… :fffuuu:

I think the 3rd line should have been from the test chamber but it was never put in.
