Last Film You Saw

It’s cool, DSG. I appreciated it.

I think the hateful whos gave the grinch the sympathetic angle he needed to be a protagonist.

I understand, but the original story had enough motivation for the Grinch. “All the noise, noise, noise!” then they “feast, feast, feast”, shoving their wealth down the Grinch’s throat, followed by the singing.

He just didn’t like seeing the Whos having fun when he sees nothing fun about the whole thing. He’s a miserable little shit and he doesn’t need a “sympathetic backstory”, IMHO. Or, if you were going to have one, have another story without turning the Whos into that detestable bunch they were in the remake.

My opinion, of course.

Maybe the whole story was an allegory for communism and how Russia would just have to break down and accept us?

Watched “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” today with my girlfriend. It was actually pretty fucking awesome.

It’s Timur fucking Bekmambetov. Of course it was.

It was indeed awesome. I haven’t watched anything lately, though Collateral Damage was on G4 last night.

It’s at least nice that they actually had to deal with pyroclastic flows and boiling hot springs for once, and not just incredibly slow-moving lava like some volcano movies I could mention.

Like the one that takes place in L.A.?

Exactly. That movie was mostly just silly.

:brow:

Decapitated fowl always piss me off too.

100% agree.

Hide and Seek.

Love that movie, though DeNiro couldn’t be less awkward acting as a dad.

Seeing it made me really upset that Quantum of Solace was so… ok.

^ agree. Watched it twice.

Last movie I saw was “Drive” (2011). Starts pretty slow, but in the end… I truly liked it. I don’t know, I felt it was very, very cool in its slowness. And it wasn’t exaggerated, as most action movies. It had the right pace for some true stylish action.
Oh, and it also had a brilliant soundtrack.

Drive was fantastic.

My dad was just telling me that he saw the Muppets Christmas Carol for the first time.

Bolteh, are you my father?

I was waiting for a scenic environment (like the insides of a giant space station) to tell you.
