i thought this new L4D game might be good i liked the frying pan weapon
Just an honest question, considering they are releasing L4D2 in late 2009; would you rather play L4D2 or the Black Mesa modification?
The dev. team should E-mail Valve “Give us HL2:Ep3 info or we release our modification on the day you release L4D2”.
Considering the transformation, i’d call L4D2 a modification and BM:S a new game. ^^
Are you seriously thinking that they mean the african savannah? or are you joking? damn interwebz…
I just watched a few gameplay videos. It’s worse then I thought. The characters are southern pricks. I actually heard some dork ask “Did anyone see any horses? I always wanted a horse.” Rediculous. And the music is terrible! And broad daylight ruins everything!
So, Black Mesa it is!
Nerd rage right here, mouth foam and fist clenching.
Fuck you Valve. I was perfectly fine with all the TF2 nonsense you’ve pulled lately, but that just crossed it.
ಠ_ಠ[/SIZE]
I hope it’s a joke. Really.
Also, I want to bum Bioware.
For those who fail at geography:
L4D 2 takes place in the American South.
Savannah, Georgia, is a large city in the South.
You will NOT be in AFRICA.
New unlock system? That’s no joke.
Ergh. I’m just a cynic
You mean to unlock weapons you have to bum the devs? Nobody tell Raminator about this idea.
Fixed

One retexture and sound pack might just convince me to buy it. Maybe when the price goes down.
Edit: Disregard that, I can probably get a model and sound replacements for the game i already have.
Wait, are people saying that L4D was expensive? Compared to what? Haribo?
It never occurred to me that Savannah might refer to the city in Georgia, because this sounds & looks distinctly New Orleans (above ground cemeteries and sleazy jazz).
There are two white characters. I thought one was wearing a white business suit, but after the frying pan video i’m willing to bet he’s some kind of Cajun chef, restaurant manager or something similar.
(And that comment does make you racist)
I don’t think the lighting looks that scary, but they did mention that the director can control the weather…
The south is hot, humid, hazy, rainy, foggy, which could definitely create a spookier atmosphere.
Another thing to consider in this uncharacteristically timely sequel is that Turtle Rock Studios initially began work on Left 4 Dead. They could have been working diligently behind the scenes as soon as Valve acquired their studio and began taking control of L4D.
- Survivors: Nick, Ellis, Rochelle, and the Coach : two whites and two blacks ; one woman
- Missions played in full daylight (not all)
- Witch behaves differently during the day – wanders around like an old homeless woman
- New weapons: MAC-10 silenced, SPAS-12, M4 ACOG, dual UPS 45… (more powerfull/add fun or valve shoped at fpsbanana some skins ?) and melee weapons now (best idea from now)
- One new gameplay mode not revealed at this time
- Stronger narrative thread to connect the campaigns : they’ve tried in L4D1 but wasn’t rewarding for the player (quote L4D comments). Seems they worked.
- Savannah campaign where “the zombie infection hasn’t hit yet” : sure they’ll be infected, otherwise they won’t be only four in the game…
- Instead of a Last Stand-type finale, survivors may have to fight through a hazard-filled highway (parish campaign only)
- Director can change the layout of the map : be friendly with him or you’ll suffer
- New boss infected: The Charger : infected bull or approaching
Why not add content like that in the original than buy a new game again ?
Hope it won’t cost like the original or valve gonna change into Microsoft really soon…
Some more info in this article, like where the game takes place - Savannah to New Orleans.

No it doesn’t, it’s not a racial thing. It just means that he prefers to play as someone he can relate to.
I hate playing as any kind of soldier, because they’re usually stereotyped as gun-ho, hyper-patriotic dumbasses. I love playing as Bill because he doesn’t act or look like you’d imagine a soldier to, and like me, he acts like a grouchy old fart.
You are all crying about a game that: hasnt been released yet, you arent forced to buy, is compatible with the game you have, and will probably have a discount if you own the original.
Funny how you guys were saying that it was worth your 50 bucks and that it was a great game. Hyporcrits, now here’s Valve’s tough love for you guys.
Oh and if you can create a videogame company that’s as good as Valve and release their quality game and make an online video game dystribution system, then I will take everything I just posted.
Sounds like homo talk to me.
