Know any good Video Editing tools?

Other then Windows Movie Maker, which would not qualify as a good tool.
Anyway, itd be fantastic if it were relatively cheap, and even free. Actually free would be best. Yeah, free. But legal free.

Anyway, I’ve been working on a trailer for BM, and I have a really good vision of what it will be. It will be sad. Really emotionally sad.

So, anyone recommend any good programs? Thanks for your help.

A decent, free movie editor is something that would interest me too. WMM is a bit limited…

There’s a free version of Avid, if memory serves. The interface is a bitch to learn, but after that it’s fairly comprehensive, and relatively customizable. Better than WMM anyway. I use Vegas, but that’s only because I saved up and purchased it for three hundred dollars because I’m not a pirating sonofabitch.

EDIT: Also, Keresh, if you use After Effects as a non-linear editing suite, you’re doing it wrong.

Hm… I had a copy of the install kicking around somewhere- when I get back to school on Monday, I’ll see if it’s still on a drive somewhere.

I wish i had a free video editor. that was kick ass, I dont think there is one… if someone ones one, They want money… :frowning:

Here’s that program, I’ll try it out.
No need to worry about it being illegal Lamsey, the program is and always will be free. They’ve just stopped releasing updates and customer service on the program. Feel free to use it.

Money isn’t an issue on the internet, unless you’re making a commercial product/video, then you need to buy it. If it’s for editing a youtube video, the companies care a lot less if you pirate their software.

Not that I encourage this. Piracy is bad.

Avid Free DV works really well. I like it. A little complicated, not too intuituve, but powerful. Thanks guys.
