Agreed, Kirk has a :awesome:-factor of over 9000. But Picard has a B)-factor of over 9000.

I really can’t describe it better than that :3 Unfortunately there is no smiley to describe Sisko properly, but he, too, is awesome.

Janeway isn’t though :frowning:

Picard.

Kirk was great and he was indeed the first, but he wasn’t Picard. To me, I’m trying to figure out how Kirk even graduated from Starfleet Academy…

Followed by Picard is, of course, Kirk…but then to me, it’s Janeway…followed by Archer (though I always feel like I’m watching a strange episode of Quantum Leap when I watched Enterprise)…then Sisko.

I couldn’t stand Sisko. Or Deep Space 9. It just didn’t have that Star Trek feel to it. Star Trek, they’re always going places and seeing new things. DS9? The new things come to them. Plus, I despised the Dominion-war arc and the religious aspect of the “Emissary” role that Sisko had with the “prophets”. It’s like they took the universe of Star Trek, took out the good bits, threw the remaining bits in a blender with a copy of Patton and a copy of the Bible, and then hit puree.

It just didn’t work for me.

I only watched one episode of Enterprise. It seemed really dull and un-Star Trek-like.

I still have to watch the movie, too :frowning: I loved DS9 though. It did have a Star Trek-feel to me, despite them not travelling around.

The religious aspects were a bit much for me too at times, but at least they always had some explanation for all those things.

I’d actually have to say my favourite captain is Janeway.
Maybe it’s because it was the series I most actively followed.
Maybe just cause I actually liked Voyager alot.

I love Voyager, but all Janeway does is stand/walk around repeating or summarising what everyone says. Once you realise, it’s rather annoying to watch her. She’ll do the cool angry mum thing every now and then or get all blasty and blow some shit up, but most of the time she just annoyed me. And why the hell didn’t she promote Kim?! He was an ensign for 7 god damn years!

And she always spoke about the prime directive and upholding Starfleet ways, but the number of times they violated shit and screwed stuff up was incredible!

TNG and Picard are best!

I’m hopeful for Chris Pine’s Kirk - I thought he did a great job. But Picard wins because of this.
