Kirk or Picard?

I’m not a Star Trek fan myself, but when I ever get asked this question, or its shown up in a debate, I say Picard. Why? 'Cause Patrick Stewart was in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as Emporer Septim, Professor X in the X-Men movies, and the special effects were cooler in the newer Star Trek stuff.

But please, any Star Trek fans, feel free to debate the hell out of this! I figured it would happen sooner or later anyways.

Kirk.

Kirk. Because Picard is French.

Kirk
The ORIGINAL Captain!

Though Picard does have an amazing voice.

Regarding Picard:

Kirk.

But I genuinely enjoyed TNG more.

Picard. He genuinely makes you feel like he’s a man of intelligence, wisdom, and tactical prowess when watching TNG.

Oh, and there’s this.

Picard kicked considerably more ass than Kirk. He also wasn’t a blithering idiot.

Kirk was all “omfg clingons! let’s shoot them! OMFG girls! Let’s fuck them! OMFG Alien virus! Let’S twist & shout!”

Picard was considerably more mature.

No question - I prefer Picard.

Picard.

Picard. By miles.

C’mon! Kirk took on a giant fucking lizard!

Kirk is freaking awesome and just plain cool and entertaining.

Picard is awesome in his own right, and is equally good to me.

To be honest, Sisko is pretty awesome too.

I love both. I can’t choose a single favorite captain, but if I were to choose a set of seasons I would say the originals with Kirk because he had a lot more entertaining crew. Spock, Bones, Zulu, Scottie.

Nostalgia

Dr.McCoy kicks both Kirk’s and Picard’s sorry asses!
Too bad he’s only a doctor, not a fighter.

Damn you, I came in here to say “Ben Sisko”

brofist

Kirk. Cuz he doesnt never do no way out scenarios, digs green chicks, always gets the bad guys, and his. talk. is always. so. draMAtic!
