I’d call bullshit too. There may be some proof, but unless it’s seen from a credible source (The fucking PR team for the movie itself) I won’t believe it.

would be interesting. I’d watch it just to see how he tries to act. Worst case, he’s really bad and it’s fucking hilarious and leaves a huge mark on his career which in its own right is okay. Best case, he’s so good he stops singing.
So if we take a step back:
A ) He bombs, sucks dick at acting and makes a fool of himself. Entertainment value skyrockets and makes for great brovernight viewings.
B ) He’s amazing and makes something of himself other than a walking commercial.
C) He’s okay and… well, that’s okay.

Yeah, a) it’s almost certainly not true and not worth getting your panties in a twist and b) he can act at least reasonably well, as evidenced in that CSI episode (the full one, not the endlessly shot bit linked above) and until you see it on the screen NO-ONE knows how good or bad he’ll be.
Only issue with this is if it is as the script in the piucture suggests based on Dark Knight Falls then Robin is Carrie Kelley who is not a boy although he does look like he could play her.
