Jittery secondary monitor

I just got a new 25" 1920x1080 monitor. My old 19" 1440x900 monitor now serves as a secondary monitor.

My video card is a GTX 460 SE 1GB, stock clocks.

The 25" is plugged via an HDMI->DVI cable, and the 19" is VGA.

My secondary monitor sometimes has some kind of jitter/distortion thing going.

Both monitors are at 60Hz

Any idea what I could try to fix this?

Seems to work for now… the problem was on-and-off though, so I’ll see if it comes back…

thanks!

It comes back sometimes after playing something fullscreen and alt-tabbing back :frowning:

edit: and 30 seconds later it’s back to normal

Hmmmm, it seems to do it when my GPU is working hard. But it doesn’t seem to get hot at all.

And the black/white pixel grid doesn’t seem to help much :frowning:

could be a faulty VGA cable or bad DVI/VGA adapter
