I’m just saying it was unnecessary to sear 7 times in a small piece of text.
Im just saying it was unnecessary to count.
Does your iMac have a dedicated GPU?
Take your Mac vs PC arguments and get the FUCK outta my thread!
FUCK YEAH JAMBO!
But…
I had to post it.
I love that image so much. IMO, it makes PC look better :3
Portal turret is pretty and all, but PC is upgradable, works quite well, and doesn’t just get knocked over. But, it can be sapped :<
fix’d
Also no one wants to build sappers for the mac because no one gives a shit. It’s sad when you can’t even attract negative attention.
Come one people, again this thread is for Steam on Mac discussion. There’s already a thread so you can pointlessly argue about Mac vs PC.
Hopefully Steam on Mac means Steam on Linux. The more the merrier.
One question though, will a TF2 player on a PC mean that he will be able to play with a TF2 player on a mac? (I know VALVe built this feature for the xbox and PC version but it was rejected by Micro$oft)
His PC cost £180.
The iMac does have a dedicated GPU, but it’s a laptop dedicated GPU.
I’d say so, seeing as the mice and keyboards are the same, so there isn’t a disadvantage like the controller vs mouse.
Yeah because the mac mouse and keyboard both suck.
Can’t wait to pwn poor mac users on CS.
Psst, you can use different mice and keyboards with a Mac
Might as well buy a PC, btw I see many PC users using mac keyboards lately, most of the time with a logitech or razer mouse though.
So…Mac mice (which are included for free) with your desktop suck, hence you might as well get an entire PC rather than just replace them if they’re annoying to you? Riiiiiiiight.
Anywho: On topic: I guess it’s neat that valve’s expanding steam to the i… mac… apple users. No, mac was the right choice… or do they both work? Anywho. Doesn’t that really not mean much? I mean, it’s not just like they can download the same game as me and have it work, does it? Difference in environment and all. Wouldn’t each individual game developer have to release a mac-version to steam?
Or maybe it’s just for valve to distribute their future titles, that they might be planning to make for mac as well.
Either way, it’s cool to see valve holding out an olive branch. Given it’s power, it might just bridge the gap between Mac and Game. I don’t ever plan on using a mac, but it’s still cool.
PS: I’m pretty sure that there would be some incompatibility between online players on Mac’s and PC’s, so I don’t think that would happen. I mean, I THINK, I don’t know for sure.
So if you want to buy a $50~ keyboard or mouse for your Mac, you may as well spend hundreds or thousands more dollars to buy a PC?
!= Logic.
Aside from this thread being about Steam on OSX, don’t forget that these days there is no difference between a pc and a mac hardware wise. As soon as the move to intel chips happened, the only real difference is the OS. Macs are PC’s, with different options for things like graphics cards and processors. I run both osx and xp natively on my laptop and play all my valve games at max detail and resolution under windows.
Now, next related question, is it only for content delivery for new games or are they going to re release old ones?
Will mods work on this?
will black mesa work on the x-box 360?
