Can you be sure about that? And for what reason numbers are necessarily tied to our universe again?
No, seriously, this argument deals with the existence and nature of numbers, which is the central point of many mathematical philosophies out there, each of them may believe numbers exist or not, that they are limited or boundless, irrational numbers exist or not, and so on.
Numbers are just ideas, they do not really exist.
Are you retarded?
it just loops back around like pacman
My thoughts exactly. Numbers help us explain the universe because they follow naturally from logic, and our universe is bound by logic. But many mathematicians think there must be a physical reason for numbers. They fail.
actually all the numbers exist in physical form propped up on cinderblocks in gods front yard they are each almost 17 feet tall and hum loudly
that humming sound is your brain frying
Do want.
Nice. This thread was full of interesting thoughts and theories. Now someone revived it and it became another shitty thread.
I am so proud to be a member of BM forums. >
gugamilare: But numbers are infinite (you can always add or subtract one from any number and get further from zero), the universe is not.
Actually, it would be cool if the universe was infinite, because there would be a planet or moon made entirely of cheese.
That doesn’t make any sense.
If it’s infinite then if the chance of something existing is non-zero you will find it
That’s if it has infinite mass, not infinite volume.
True. But a whole planet of cheese would still be awesome
If the theory of infinite universes is correct, you will get what you want.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
