Anyway, I’ve always thought Gordon must be SLIGHTLY autistic in that he doesn’t feel the need to… you know, talk. Ever.
He’s also really good at body language, which actually ISN’T something associated with autism that I can remember. Or maybe he’s not good at body language…

Gordon does talk, but we don’t hear him talk. For example when you meet Rosenburg in Blue Shift he makes responses to what you say, you just don’t hear the speech.
In Blue Shift, you play Barney Calhoun, not Gordon Freeman…
If you use the thirdperson cheat you appear as Gordon Freeman, but that’s just because the dead HEV scientists and you use the same model, and Gearbox were too lazy to make another one like in Opposing Force. So that guy above you is still an idiot.

I like to think Gordon speaks with his weapons. Although I do like to pretend that if he did talk, it’d be something along the lines of a dialogue like that which is depicted in “Freeman’s Mind” by Ross Scott. HILARIOUS series
