The teaser pretty much says it all:
Space Nazis from the dark side of the moon. :aah:
So, what do you guys think?

I believe context and a plot premise is needed.
Let me guess, glorious America will save the world?
uh, im pretty sure you can guess what the plot premise is. it seemed fairly self-explanatory.
They should hold off on their viral marketing until after Cowboys Vs Aliens bombs at the box office… er, maybe they had better not wait
I hear it’s made in Finland, so whoever saved Finland hated the least during the war would save everyone.
So maybe Americans, as Finland was part of the U.S.S.R. Or maybe the British. :3
This movie is like Black Mesa. Everyone wants to see it but it’s just taking forever to make.
good to see its finally cool to be a nazi again. imo peoples beef w/ them was unwarranted and mean
Oh god, you’re not one of those Holocaust deniers, are you? Or even worse: a troll!
But yeah, they are kinda playing up the whole “Nazis are cool” theme.
I mean,
You don’t argue with hercule poirots nutsack.
He’s always right, even if he isn’t.
I have to say. I lol’d at the giant Swastika shaped moon base.
I never actually argued with him, I just inquired if he was of a certain persuasion, then agreed as to his point.
I was hoping to play the mod, but if you want to look that’s fine I guess.
Obvious troll is obvious.
Anyway, this movie looks retarded. They shouldn’t let 13 year olds come up with ideas for movies.
I disagree, the plot is the least retarded part. It’s dumb enough to be intentionally campy. Unlike some recent films "oh lets make a movie about space elves and the mean army is trying to steal their floating rocks while deforesting the rainforest which is bad as I was just reading about for my biology class and also the elves do yoga and fly dragons and the hero rides the biggest dragon and leads the elves to victory and they save ferngully
No matter how much you attempt to mock it Avatar was epic and very believable. Also it showed a truth about us contrary to Hollywood cliche; we are very likely to be the bad guys in an extraterrestrial encounter.
Space Nazis on the dark side of the moon launching thousands of cliched flying saucers is, however, not the slightest bit believable. All Iron sky does is take an extremely overused topic -nazis- and makes it as ridiculous and unbelievable as possible -nazis in space. Not to mention the movie glorifies nazis; a group known for their blind conformism brutality and racism. Also, the name is dumb as well. Iron curtain refers to communism and the USSR, therefor Iron Sky sounds like it refers to communism in space (which actually sounds like it’d make a cooler movie), not fascism in space.
I didn’t say anything about believability, what I’m saying is that the plot of avatar could have been “written” by a 13 year old and doesn’t have the benefit of self-referential humor.
Nazis in space sounds a lot more childish than Avatar. Also, you said the plot is the least retarded part, but if a plot isn’t the slightest bit believable then it’s pretty retarded. And this movie doesn’t seem made to be humorous. Yet it is so retarded it’s funny, just not so funny I’d enjoy watching it.
“Nazis in Space” sounds campy and vaguely humorous, much like Cowboys VS Aliens (which these guys are ripping off). The principle of camp humor is not difficult to understand:
If a plot is silly and not believable, this makes camp humor possible.
If a plot is believable but still retarded, it’s impossible for it to either be funny or not suck.
