Iron Sky

The movie is serious, watching a serious movie because it’s retarded might be funny for the first 10 minutes but then get incredibly dull. Unless it’s absolutely over the top retarded, but this movie doesn’t look that way.

@jean Unless it’s a comedy of course.

Pretty much every plot is in a lot of ways ‘unbelievable’, I don’t think you should call it retarted just because of that.

A little bit of unbelievability is okay, but the amount nazis invading from the dark side of the moon has is just ridiculous.

Well then you might as well hate stuff like Star Wars… Battleships of 10 kilometers in size, stations as big as a moon that can destroy planets and a man with a deep voice called Darth Vader who walks around in a black suit chocking people to death using a mystical energy called the force.

Oh, did I mention they fight with laser lightsabers?

ironically i bet the space nazi movie is less racist than avatar

That’s in “A galaxy far far away” in a time"long long ago". It’s a hell of a lot more believable because it’s not on or even near Earth. And it’s a fantasy world where the mystical power exists.

So you actually do agree with me that the plot is retarded?

Please stop trolling, it’s not even funny trolling.

You can just as easily justify Iron Sky by saying it’s in an alternate timeline where they had the technology needed to do this. Besides that, the only thing I have heard about the plot is “Nazis in Space”, which doesn’t say a whole lot. To judge it as stupid already is a little premature. Does it sound far-fetched? Yes, absolutely, but so would many successful sci-fi movies/franchises if you only used a 3 word phrase to describe them. Terminator: Time Traveling Robots. Dune: Magic Worm Drugs. Half-Life: Scientist Kills Everything. Star Wars: Nazis in Space.

In any case, the plausibility is beside the point. It’s simply made to appeal to people who like sci-fi and/or Nazi punk/chic/mysticism…whatever you want to call it. If the movie is well made (or intentionally campy), then the premise can be forgiven.

HPN BeSt tRoll evaR :lol:

not the brightest bulb in the bin, eh

Have you people ever heard of Die Glocke? The classical idea of Nazi flying saucers is actually founded in reality.

Pope Pius XII attempted to perform “remote exorcisms” on Hitler during WWII, believing him to be possessed. During WWII, Admiral Dönitz claimed “The German submarine fleet is proud of having built an invisible fortification for the Führer, anywhere in the world.” During the Nuremberg Trials, He spoke of “an invisible fortification, in midst of the eternal ice.”

Don’t go accusing the film of being unrealistic, there’s plenty of conspiracy theories surrounding the Nazis.

that picture looks really serious and interesting

Yeah well, that was a joke. The image doesn’t show up for me, so I couldn’t be bothered to pay much attention to it.

It was kinda me lampshading the fact that my argument focused on Nazis doing crazy shit. And supposedly having crazy technology.

No, I actually saw it. I was taking the piss out of it’s contents.

You were what? I am unfamiliar with that phrase.

Anyway, my point was valid. They’re basing the movie on things like Die Glocke and Nazi conspiracy theories. They’re not making it up, just recklessly exaggerating.

garthbartin, what the fuck are you on about. Ever heard of Star Wreck? These guys are making movies for the fun of it, certainly not attempting to make an Avatar kind of over pretentious “serious” story.

So wait, Nazis are taking over my Pink Floyd album? D:

Yep.
[COLOR=‘Black’]I don’t really get it
Whatever that means.

What am I missing here?

I’ve never watched Star Treck. It looks retarded. Anyway, this is clearly a serious movie. They clearly aren’t making this movie for the fun of it. They want to glorify Nazis and they think sci-fi is badass, so they are making a nazi sci-fi movie.
