iPad

iPad technology is not new at all, there are better ones out there at lower prices. Apple is smart by using so called “controlled leaks” to increase sales, people will buy it anyway just because it’s from Apple.
Why so many people fall for this is a mystery to me…

do share

Any attempt to do so will most likely cause rage in the Apple fan community, so I suggest you use Google and compare it to other tablets.

There’s an Apple fan community in black mesa forums?

:fffuuu:

Archos 9. Only thing it’s missing is the multitouch, but look, multitasking!

If only the other macfags could see the light.

Best post ever!

It supports VOIP, so in theory, you can call with it.

But not in as many places as the iPhone, you’re limited to where there’s WiFi, which here, is not a good replacement as we have hardly any WiFi hotspots.

I can imagine a typical macfag thinking they’re uber cool using an ipad while talking to someone on their iphone…

I’d like you to propose something better? And don’t say windows or microsoft cause despite its beginings, its pretty much rubbish. and how can anyone here judge something they have not physically interacted with? All I hear is “presumptions”

You can get a dataplan, though.

How can you be British and yet be so absolutely horrible at English?

Unless you aren’t British at all :3

despite a misplaced r and an unneccessary a, I was almost right :frowning:

It’s basically the iPod’s obese little brother.

I used mac os 10.5 as my main OS for about 2 months just to see what it would be like, before you scream “MAC ON PC IS NOT GOOD EXAMPLE” you’re wrong, it was working perfectly with all the proper drivers installed. And I hated it more than I expected to. I also ran linux as my main OS for almost a year.

Windows is the most advanced, the least complicated, the most straightforward and fastest OS I’ve ever used, and am currently running 2 windows machines on my desktop (2 monitors each), directly connected using Ethernet (windows ICS) using only one mouse and one keyboard, and one pair of headphones for both.

I hate to scream that but yes that is the case, you wasn’t using a mac you was using its operating system. Mac’s have been proven to load faster, run about 50 programs sim with no delay and no lag (On their operating system), as opposed to windows OMG you’re trying to run how many programs arrgghhh! It’s very simple to use, the only reason windows feels more simple is because you’ve been “taught” how to use it as you grew up. It’s video and music editing software has been decided by top geeks as one of if not the best. It has no viruses so has no need for a virus scanner.

If wasn’t for mircosofts “heavy handed” approach on the computer market and their constant geek spasams (It was bill gates who first decided you had to “pay” for software/operating systems as opposed to sharing and copying it, like the creator of apple used to do) it would also run many of the games and more then likely it’d do a better job at running them

benchmarks or you’re pulling it out of your ass.

I’ve heard this too, but the developers of Unix were selling licenses to the government and to universities before 1973, and Mr. Gates’ Open Letter to Hobbyists was in 76.

Not porting DirectX to apple has nothing to do with their business practices, I don’t see apple porting their exclusive libraries to windows… although that’s not saying much, because I can’t really think of any exclusive libraries on mac that would really be useful on Windows…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
