It would be silly for Valve not to have Adrian Shepard in Ep3. All of his dedicated fans would be dissapointed, and he clearly has many.

I imagine it would be a storyline similar to the Snake/Ocelot rivalrly in MGS3. Gordan and Shepard are enemies but they grow to respect each other’s skill in battle and may even end up working together before the plot is over… stay tuned for the sequel.

…G-man decided to let him out of detainment, but “accidentally” put him in the radius of a large-ish explosion during a small rebel/combine battle a few years before Freeman arrived in city 17, and as a result, had his eardrums popped…

In my version, he could talk, but he’d have to mostly sign because he’s now deaf.

Valve had said that they may bring him back, as he was an endearing character to both players and them, even if gearbox took a few too many liberties with the story.
