i reinstall windows maybe 3-4 times a year to get rid of crap i always have laying around. it’s not that big of a deal, just get the files you want out with dropbox/memorystick/live cd

back in 2003 when I still ran 98SE on my main computer and ie6 as my main browser, i used to get viruses every week, so once I got one that zeroed out my whole HDD and then fried my motherboard.
This makes my mind bleed.
lol, your mind is bleeding! Yeah, it wasn’t as bad as that virus, but it was pretty bad. i can’t remember what would have happened if i hadn’t fixed it, but it would have been very expensive. Thank god I upgraded 
See, i have Mcaffe, it runs in silent and has given me NO hassle. if i go to a page i think could be dodgy/unchecked my google and Mcaffe i wouldnt go to it, but rarely you’ll find a useful page which is virus infested tbh.
and if your that adamant on free porn don’t torrent or visit bad sites. buy it.
antivirus programs are known to stop a certain percentage of threats and torrents will always be safer than file sharing sites but the only thing that can save you from unwanted software is common sense
