i screwd up

ok so this all started with me trying to get blender to work…
im not sure how i did it but i made all .exe files open up in blender which im not sure if that makes sense but PLEASE IS THERE ANYWAY TO FIX IT
I THINK I MAY HAVE JSUT BROKEN MY COMPUTER

Are you drunk?

no im being absolutely serious

Restart it for one thing. If that doesn’t work, unplug it. If that doesn’t work, get Googling.

uninstall the blender thingy , or look at the settings for file associations , NO?

Use a gun. And if that don’t work, use more guns.

:fffuuu: I have no idea how you did that.

This^^

No, really, how is it possible to fail that much?
The only thing I can suggest is to reinstall windows.

i uninstalled blender now all exe files are unkown
i thinke the exe fiels can still be read
considering i was able to open up paint backassward and get the screen shot.
that and apperently all exes are in a compatibilty mode of a older version of windows
(found out by backassward opeing itunes)

wow… lol… seriously, how you did that?
I can’t imagine how this could happen.
reinstall windows and done or search in the registry for .exe (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT) and delete anything in there which has something todo with blender.
Or try this reg file, I made https://amdathlon64.am.funpic.de/models/exe_files.reg

how do i downlaod it
also i cant run regedit
*sobbing

rightclick -> save as… ( if it saves as *.reg.txt, simply remove the .txt )
to embed it: rightclick on the regfile -> add to registry

EDIT:
you also could need this regfile: https://amdathlon64.am.funpic.de/models/exe_files_2.reg

ok i added it but it hasnt done anything
should i restart for it to work?

add the second file I uploaded and then restart if it’s necessary.

it said not all keys were opend or somthing liek that
should i restart anyway?

yeah… restart

well still not cigar…
god danm you blender and goddanm me
hmm

could you please post the error message which appears when you try to add the second regfile?

sure

ah… shit, stupid windows.
maybe it works in safemode, but I doubt it but anyway it’s worth a try.
