I need help looking for music like this

I can’t seem to find music/song that sound like this in the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkU0hgskMfw

The sad sounding and yet beautiful sounding.

You probably already know this one if you played Hitman

Usually the soundtracks for relatively recent epic movies set in ancient eras have songs like that.

The sad sounding that those used in a lot of War world 2 music??

The Hitman soundtrack is so fucking good.

I find that this song “Fragments of a Prayer”, from the Children of Men soundtrack, suits exactly the style you linked.

If you can tolerate a lack of vocals, go for “Adagio for Strings” (very famous / easy to find).

If I can, I would give you a big hug.

/time pass, opinion change.

If I might sneak into this thread with my own request for help (apologies, Fong), but I’m looking for if there’s a specific genre of music where it’s orchestral with a strong vocal accompaniment (usually in Latin), usually dark and foreboding sounding.

Examples of the type of the music that I’m referring to would be:
Duel of the Fates from Star Wars, Consumite Furore from Phantasmagoria, Carl Orff’s O Fortuna from Carmina Burana, and One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII. I love that kind of thing and want find more of it. Is it a specific genre or what?

Thanks!

I’ve never heard of any specific genre name for that, it’s just a type of classical I would guess. Seems they’re not as keen in splitting into subgenres as metal is :stuck_out_tongue: .

That’s just how it is, man.

Karl Jenkins about right?

My favorite song by him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RirEqehfsg

Hooray for Sanskrit!

It’s okay, I got what I need anyway.

Something like orchester + latin lyric I guess. I remember a good song from a flash game called “Undead Chase”

Well, I think these qualifies, even if they aren’t quite up to today’s standards quality-wise.

Warlock - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vqN9zNAxr4&feature=relmfu

Barbarian - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V0jHblkspo&feature=relmfu

Necromancer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g-qVAZ01Dw

I especially like Barbarian tonight, but my favorites switch around depending on my mood. I would love to hear them remastered one day. :frowning:

This started playing on Grooveshark’s Radio-feature for me: https://grooveshark.com/s/All+Around+The+World/3W6jWp?src=5

I don’t know what genre I’m listening to.

If you want something more genuine you should try Mozart’s Requiem.

It’s 56 minutes long and goes in movements, so there’s a lot of variation if you want several distinct pieces.
