I need a graphing tool... Got any advice?

Hey, guys, I’m knee deep in math and stuff at the moment. So, I thought why not to get some function graphing software for my pc? That would definitely come in handy. Tried to google for them myself, but only got confused as hell :fffuuu: mainly because I couldn’t find what I want. So, thought perhaps some of you, guys, have stumbled upon any good function graphing programm lately? Here is what I need:

A software which would be able to graph not only 2D but also complex 3D mathematical functions (not only lines, but surfaces too).

Preferably with good visual quality (I don’t want to see pixels on every curve and stuff because I like accuracy).

So, please, give me some pointers on the subject. :expressionless:

Mathematica 7

or MatLab (google it)

pfannkuchen_gesicht thanks a lot, gonna check that out…

Turboplot

Perhaps just a bit biased, but check https://www.dplot.com. Comments/questions/suggestions are always welcome.

AutoGraph used to do me fine at A-level

I’m now in the first year of my degree so I use Maple 13 (which is confusing and stupid) and eventually I’ll learn how to use Matlab

But don’t underestimate humble excel, its actually a lot better than most people realise

What do you use then? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have never seen such a post being posted to Raminator (except for all the other posts declaring Raminator as a girl). Have a nice life taxi_evil.

Thanks for pointers guys, problem solved. Now I just got to learn how to use my new tool. =D
