I thought it was kinda fun when it came out…
i thought it sucked. it wasn’t as immersive as other half-life games like OF or BS
I played it for one reason…and one reason alone…
IT’S…FUCKING…HALF LIFE…CO-OP…
we wouldn’t see anything like that untill the mod Sven Co-op came out…
split-screen co-op, lol. and i thought i failed, especially with a game like half-life where your FOV is so low. It made enemies look like the size of bowser in a mario side-scroller. They also removed your weapon from the HUD when playing co-op.
The gameplay was a bit tedious i felt, but there were some really cool sequences, like the Medical facility housing dissected Xen creatures, and the massive convoy of Gunships flying en route to the facility, heralding the HECU intervention.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I helped beta test the port of it to the PC, although admittedly I don’t think they got the menu system right so I’ve never gotten around to playing it all the way through on the PC.
i tried to play but got bored with having to switch players constantly
I played it on the PS2 emulator.
Lost patience before I got to the first door (less than 10 feet in-game). Sometime I’ll get it again and try to play it online.
Decay is fun as shit when your messing around. but as a half life game it just doesn’t hold up to me.
its a PS2 port of a PC game, it sux. who gives a damn that a shitty little side story involving the woman from Hazard Course and her lab assistant, has been pretty much forgotten?
I enjoyed playing it but it did get anoying at times with only me playing even with the health cheat on.
Did you know you can play the Uplink demo on HL for ps2.

I bet everyone has a copy of PSM Issue 57 with Jango Fett on the cover.
I actually enjoyed decay, and I used it to introduce my father to Half life. While it was just the two of us in the house for the week, I loaded it onto both our computers and We both really enjoyed it. I just like to think of it as the predecessor to Sven Co-Op and Synergy.
The chances of anyone still owning that are quite low but you’d only need the disc because the code is there on the net.
I bet someone out there has still got an old pile of demo discs with that issue included.:retard:
ALSO: here’s a thumbnail picture that my jog a memory or two.
I tryed playing the PC port of Decay but I think I had a problem switching between players or something like that. What ever it was it ment I couldnt get past the first lvl.
It’s meant for LAN, you know…
You can play Decay with just single player, lan, or online. I’ve successfully set up a server myself, and even have unlocked the bonus level where you play as Vortigons. The only problem is that there’s not really anyone else to play it with, if either player dies it’s game over for both, and there’s no way to save in the middle of a level.
I agree, it was good.
I’ve played it with a friend. It was still quite boring.
