I guess I have to be the one to make the Halo 4 thread again.

Haha, no way, I bought three copies (including anniversary) as well. We are terrific soldiers.

Yes, as it should be.

I am a gore-in-Halo advocate. I am very disappointed at the pg13 turn the game has taken after Halo 2.

Also it took up the whole screen how the fuck could anyone not notice it?

I didn’t notice it the first time because it was dark, and only lasted about a fraction of a second. Not nearly as pink and bright like the games.

They should make the needler like that in the games. Imagine… needling a whole pack of grunts, and all of them explode into bloody chunks… :stuck_out_tongue:

YOu’re just making me mad that they’re never gonna grow a pair and do that.

I just noticed how accurate that is.

FUCK DOUBLE POST.

I actually posted the same thing about the gore elsewhere.

Gore could go so great with the Halo weapons and make them way more satisfying to use

Xactly

I would love it if Halo had a dynamic hit detection and gib system (think RAGE meets L4D2). Imagine, you use a Needler on a grunt and all the shards hit his head only as he squabbles in pain. When the pink explosion occurs only his body remains and slowly falls over as a blood red cloud settles where his head used to be. Hnnnnng.

You have a gore fetish, Chancy?

do you not?

It’s just that Halo’s weapons are too fucking brutal for the anemic damage they do to people in game.

A huge footlong crystal shard penetrates your chest and explodes. What do you do? You grunt and faint.

just like in real life

Thinking about Halo and Gore, calling them splatter kills would make a lot more sense if it actually splattered them.

Plus there’s this old standby

coupled with the fact that the books are pretty damn gruesome.

Honestly the only reason why Halo is rated M is because of the Flood. Apparently there’s some rule or something at ESRB that says a game needs to be rated M if there’s ANY dismemberment, including the Flood. That’s actually pitiful, to be honest.

So then that begs the question, why are Reach and ODST rated M as well?

Precedent?

The blood, probably.

I’m almost positive that I’ve seen games just as bloody rated T.

They’re rated M because a good portion of the audience is sophomoric imbeciles who refuse to buy games rated T.

I seem to remember Call of Duty 2 being way bloodier than Halo and it was rated T. Also, that can’t be right about dismemberment. Jedi Knight 1, 2, and 3 all had dismemberment and none of them received an M rating. Blood + dismemberment maybe? Swearing? Idk.
