Humanity to become extinct?

Or AvP.

But on topic: We will become extinct. It’s inevitable. How we become extinct will be a mysterie though, and will always be until it happens IMO.

Why is it inevitable that man becomes extinct?

Every species goes extinct at some point. One way or another.

to those who hate humanity, your retarded. we are the only species that denies nature the right to rule our lives, we’ve built technology to keep us alive and comfortable, we have devised farming to have ample food, we have medicine that cures and treats disease, if any species deserves to rape the planet , it is us.

now, on another note, we are becoming very irresponsible at managing our resources. I’m no tree hugger, i just don’t wanna pay 90 dollars for a gallon of water in the future.

i fear that nature will generate some sort of event that will wipe us out a significant part of the population. weather that be a natural disaster, disease, or even solar activity. We will survive and thrive. at one point in our past, the worlds human population was reduced to 1,000, this caused the great human migration from east Africa to the rest of the world. the plague helped sprout the Renaissance, at least economically. humanities struggle is cyclical, we go through cycles, and we are currently at the end of one right now. I am hopeful, hopeful that the society after ours will look back at our laws and culture and how we treat other people like how we look at the ancients now.

tl;dr, humanity will survive, it’s gonna all work out.

This actually made me laugh out loud

The universe has several stages it goes through, right now we’re in the stage where planets and stars are formed in stellar nubulae. This process however won’t last forever. There will be a time when our universe is populated only by black holes of unimaginable size and mass not to mention the universe itself which by then will have grown so large you might as well call it infinite.

This stage will be reached in 10^100 years, the universe isn’t even nearly (probably something like this lol 0.000000000000001%) that old.

Anyone who has kids is a selfish idiot.

Actually, there are species older than us that have not gone extinct yet; your point cannot be proven.

This is but a theory, though.

Details can vary ofcourse, but it’s still inevitable. For stars to form you need hydrogen, when there’s no more hydrogen nubulae to form stars then no new stars will form. No new stars means no new planets. After a long time all stars including white dwarfs and so on will have died out plunging the universe into infinite darkness.

Can there be nothing? Can existence itself, cease to exist? :fffuuu:

that is a serious mindfuck, so i have tried not to think about it

Your’s can.

On the other hand, many of those species look like they’re gonna be extinct soon, mainly because of humans. And the gulf spill.

EDIT: nvm I just misread smth

EDIT2:

Cockroaches are nowhere near their extinction. Nor are sharks, gulf spill or not. Your point is invalid.

Many species are going extinct every day (with the help of a certain upright ape that walks on its hind legs), but there are probably many more currently undiscovered.

It hasn’t happened so you can’t say it’s inevitable. Maybe it works in theory, but that rarely means it actually works in practise.

Scientific theory or layperson “theory”? They’re two different things.

Uh did you read what I said? Stars need HYDROGEN to form. When there’s no more hydrogen then how are stars supposed to form? With no new stars being formed to produce the heavier elements, no planets will form.

How is that practise?
