In one day, long time ago, i just start thinking how good will be an idea of recreation original Half-life by using advanced Source engine technologies. And then im begin to google and at some point find info about you guys! It was a link to your old website…

I think I actually found it through the Youtube trailer as well.
I found it about 4 years ago, I was googling for a half-life 2 mod that would be fun to play. This must be the third time I’ve signed up to the BMS forums in that time, lol.
I remember when I first heard of it in 2006, and I thought it was just going to be a bad attempt at recreating HL1.

I found black mesa 420 days ago when the official trailer was released and every day I put an X on the calendar until the day when Black Mesa is out

I think I first saw it on Planet Half-Life, or possibly through some forum… Many years ago, way before the trailer, and when the levels looked dull and cheap, and the site was a horrible flash that made a flashlight-sound when it was loaded. Then I’ve lurked that site for a while, then started lurking the forums, then made an account, yet kept lurking, and recently I decided to venture into posting.
Yeah, she was alright actually.
I noticed an advert in the singles section of the local paper, gave her a ring, and we really hit it off.
As for this place, found it about a year and half ago from a friend who done the whole stupidly over excited “OMG OMG OMG…PWNAGE” thing, and after he’d finished hyperventilating pointed me in the direction of here. I’ve been reading in since. Joined the old forum but never re-registered, just for some reason decided to today.
While searching in Google for Half-Life: Source pictures, I saw the screenshot of the flooded room in “Office complex”.
On Youtube, Looking for Half-Life. Found a vid - Black Mesa was Linked.
In 2005, I was browsing mods for Half-Life on moddb when I stumbled across this gem. I’ve been eagerly awaiting it ever since. I never thought it would look this proffesional.
I was on machinima’s Youtube and saw the trailer and though “ZOMG I Wantz it NOAZ!” Saw it was supposed to be realeased in 09 , had a few oragasims(not realy) , came to the site, lol
