I can’t remember how I stumbled upon this. It might have been ModDB, Steam forums, Concerned or some other place. Back then Kalashnikov was the project leader. 2005?
I found about Black Mesa while reading a PC Gamer magazine back in 2007! So I went to the site and, there! I just went on the forums on march 5th.

I heard of BM back when I heard from a friend that HL:S sucked and that a mod group was going to give Half Life a worthy remake. I did a bit of research and ended up here… this was in late 2005 or early 2006 I believe. I lurked around until 2009 when I was oh-so-sure that a release was imminent. ^^

Hmm, whenever BM and Opposing Source (I think thats what they were called) used to share the same site on LeakFree, although I’m not sure when that would have been.
