how do I compare to y’all? LET’S SEE

Great. Another e-penis contest.

I think I’ll sit this one out.

Me too.

All the games I have either run great on all high or they don’t run at all.

Your not showing off much cause system is pretty average and u can barely run ep1. If u want to show off ur system, show benchmarks of demanding games.

Crysis(DX10): 60fps avg max’d out with 4x AA and 16x AF @1680x1050.

GTA4: 87fps avg max’d (no AA or AF options) out with view distance and shadow/car density as far as the settings will let me go @1680x1050.

STALKER Clear Sky(DX10.1): 72fps avg max’d out with 4x AA (DX10.1 style) 16x AF @1680x1050.

Cryostasis(DX10): 80fps avg max’d out with AA and AF (no option of how high) and hardware PhysX @1680x1050.

You make me cry eternalness. Every time I see that set up and all that horse power not even displaying 1920*1080, let alone the 4MP+ in everything it could. You could have skipped the second 4890 and bought a 24 inch monitor and STILL maxed everything out.
I weep for such overkill. :frowning:

eternalness, how much of a performance hit would you take if you took out the 8800 GT that’s running your PhysX?

4 GB PC3-12800 DDR3 1600
i5 750 Overclocked to around 3.2 ghz
GeForce 285 2GB
Almost 5 TB of hard drive space spread out all over the place
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

That’s the basics.
That runs almost every game on high, but I don’t play any games newer then GTA4, so I might need to turn down some settings for new stuff. Haven’t really looked into it.

I have a spare few thousand though that I could spend (what’s a savings account?), kind of considering buying a few more bits and pieces. Maybe another 4 GB of ram, a sound card, blu-ray burner, some silent fans + silent PSU. I don’t really need that stuff though, but it’d be neat.

Also, should look into a new monitor, something higher then 1680x1050, maybe in the 24 inch range.

I have no idea. The newest game I have is L4D2, which runs perfect at maximum settings.

This isn’t saying much since L4D2 looks like Turok the Dinosaur Hunter compared to something like Modern Warfare 2 or Crysis.

Little to none, but i like it in there anyways.

@MaxTheLimit: Im currently saving up for an Asus 24in 1920x1080 monitor and will use the 1680x1050 one as a secondary monitor.

I’m not even going to bother posting in here.

…DAMMIT.

Same to this guy.

I use V-sync, so most of my games are locked at 60fps.
The only games that don’t run perfectly on max with my OC 4890 are GTA4, and Crysis, with 25 and 50 average fps respectively.
You have an incredible amount of headroom when it comes to the 4890. I boosted my memory clock by almost .15 Ghz and have had it run fine like that for almost a month.

For the record, you can overclock that thing with the stock heatsink and it is stable without much more heat. You should look into bumping that up a bit.

Wow. My PC Sucks compared to your computers. I don’t even have an i5 or i7. Only an Q9400 and a Sapphire Radeon HD 4870

Cry some more, I’m rocking an Athlon 64 2800+ and a HD 3650.

Why does it run so slow? It shouldn’t :fffuuu:

Well.

I can run games like Hl2:Ep2 and BioShock on max settings @1280x1024, so well enough

I can run anything on max so far. I’ll probably update when the next batch of videocards come in. (With that I don’t mean the 5xxx series or the 3xx, but the 6xxx or the 4xx)

No, I’m looking for comparisons so I can upgrade the parts in my humble abode.
I’d rather not be a part of an e-penis contest, thankyaverymuch

I’ve got a much better heatsink from CoolerMaster, I could OC it easily, if only I knew how… GOOGLE!
