How to set the graphic lower than the OPTION can in left 4 dead 2?

Just like what the title said, I need some expect’s advice.

-dxlevel 60 perhaps?

Where should I put that in? The console? It isn’t working.

Under launch options

oh look it’s me and the skin i recommended.

BOOYAA

Thanks for the answer.

Does the code really work?

Does it work online? For left 4 dead 2?

Not a clue. Sorry, friend.

Damn, these ain’t working.

In that case, wait for Sersoft to come along. I’m sure he’ll have a solution for you. He could get HL2 to run on a graphing calculator.

But I haven’t played any L4D games on old computers, I know that portal 2 doesn’t have the dxlevel command anymore, and that some graphics cvar’s need SV_CHEATS 1 to be entered first, you could try to open the game, before you connect to a server change the resolution to 640x480 and type

sv_cheats 1
mat_dxlevel 80
mat_forcehardwaresync 0
mat_antialias 0
mat_specular 0
r_drawdecals 0
r_lod 5
mat_picmip 5
r_shadows 0
r_3dsky 0
dsp_off 1
snd_mixahead 0.5
snd_async_fullyasync 1
cl_forcepreload 1
sv_forcepreload 1

and if it still lags after this,

mat_showlowresimage 1
mat_filtertextures 0
mat_filterlightmaps 0

Might as well just play They Hunger if your PC is too shitty for L4D2.

BTW, Siggs, which skin is that? Looks fucking legit.

This

Most of the code aren’t working.

Minimal Steam UI. I use it myself, after having asked Siggs what he uses. It’s very nice.

If your computer’s graphics are really so bad you have to lower them lower than you can go normally, it may just be time to get an upgrade.

Nope siggs, LINK
