My friend has being infected by the virus and she tried several online guide but none helped.
Anyone knew the real way to remove this?
So far she removed it from search options and regedit, but the virus is still in the computer

Malwarebytes AntiMalware is always a good option to try.
use rkill first before running the antivirus. rkill kills all virus processes running at that moment.
Searchab.com is a browser hijacker. This virus program gets installed onto the system when user tries to download and install free software or add on. Ask your friend to pay attention when installing software online, because often a software installer (when not downloaded from a trusted source) includes optional installs (which are malicious), such as searchab.com.
Your friend needs to follow the following instruction:
• Firstly let her uninstall the searchab program
• Remove the virus residual damage from the browser.
• In next step she needs to remove searchab.com registry keys with Adwcleaner.
• Run a computer scan with any antimalware software such as MalwareBytes.
• Again scan the whole system for viruses with existing antivirus and if not having any then go for Kaspersky, Immunet or Avast.
Hope this will help.
If all else fails, don’t leave it there. Just backup essential files, then format the PC using a bootable DVD of Windows.
You DO realize that the thread was necro’d, right? The last post was from the beginning of this year…
The issue was likely resolved by now in one manner or another.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
