Okay this is annoying the shit out of me, a quick google lead me to a thread filled with confused uk’s and americans, so how do you guys pronounce it?
“better” “bayta” or “beeta”
bay-TUH
that ^
More of a Bei followed by a short Ta. Go to the pet store and ask about beta fish.
You can over-pronounce it if you want but it’ll just make you look slimy
It’s “Bay-tah” in American English, “Bee-tah” in British English.
EDIT: See this portion of Portal’s “Still Alive” song for the American pronunciation.
@Ramirezoid: Those are “betta”, not “beta”. And those are pronounced like “better” only with an “tah” sound at the end.
it’s pronounced “Herp derp”
was a thread really necesssary for this simple question that could be youtubed in under 7 seconds? You Beta try harder next time.
bait eh?
Bit-Ah.
bitches don’t know about my greek language
bɛ̂ːta
bayduh
Come on, people, you know you’re not actually pronouncing the T, stop pretending.
béta
Just because you don’t enunciate your words doesn’t mean the rest of us are so sloppy with our manner of speaking.
Why, Tiki?
Yeah, listen to the guy from New Jersey…
Listen, of all the people on this forum, I’m the closest to being Morgan Freeman. Trust me.
Should we trust a man that played God in a Jim Carrey flick ?
เบต้า
^this is the closest way of how the word “beta” sounds and is said.
:jizz:
Are you seeing someone?
