Welp, according to the HEV Suit Containment Room many of the Black Mesa staff are well above average height. Maybe Black Mesa was actually in that secret desert in Sweden.

The problem here being that the measurements are a lie. Gordons perspective is at shoulder height. (5.3ft / 64 inches)

The players height clearence is 73 inches according to Valve’s Developer Wiki
which is precisely 6ft.

So Gordon is 6ft tall.

Well, In the beginning of Half Life 2, the scene where you first meet Barney, there is a measure on the wall near the torture chair. Gordon is around two meters tall=6 feet.
