So how many players do you think BMS will have on steam when it is released?
Think it will go over 3000 players ?

Second, Black Mesa will not (or is very unlikely to) be available through Steam the day of its release.

I thought Steam only showed stats for Valve Games and popular multiplayer games.

I should check.

I don’t remember, hence the question. That’s quite likely as the stats often link to the game in question which they can’t do if it’s a random mod…

Makes sense. They’d have to reach into the mod’s info and find a URL to link to otherwise which would open them up for exploitation issues, so since it doesn’t show things it can’t link to it makes sense that only official steam things are on the list.

I know alot of people who have heard of Black mesa source and I think it will be popular. I guess myabe a bit over 3000. Just guessing, though

3000? I’m guessing well over 10 000 people will play Black Mesa on the day of its release. One million after a month.

I couldn’t tell you the exact number, but considering the popularity of the mod, the media attention it’s gotten, and its affection from ValVe, I’m going to say it’ll be OVER 9000!!!

Even more than that. I doubt that everyone who heard about the mod is part of the Black Mesa steam group.

I’m part of the steam group but I’m sure I’ll find out late cuz I’ll get totally wasted on the day of the release and forget to actually play it.
