How is BM:S not #1 on ModDB?

Yeah, except I’m not. Minerva was alright, but then Valve realized that more than one person could mod Source, and they couldn’t hire every great mod-maker. >.<

Sarcasm aside, just look at up and coming mods like Black Mesa, Raindrop, and even City 17 is looking pretty cool right now.

Yeah, they couldn’t hire EVERY great mod-maker. But they hired one of the BEST. The mapping in Minerva, not just the aesthetics (which were all stock HL2), but the method. You get a hell of a lotta gameplay outta those five maps. They hired him partly due to his efficient use of the Source engine, with vertical maps and such.

So make one. :stuck_out_tongue:

We don’t need another media release. Besides, there’s all the new media on the wiki.

Uh, IDK… Mabye because ITS NOT OUT YET!!! When ModDB gets a chance to play the mod then they will say if it is worthy or not. I think that Black Mesa and Garry’s Mod are both the #1 mods!!! :bms:

Says the guy a full month after the thread had run its course. =\

But yes. Once released I am sure new awards will be won.

here’s a bit of an inside knowledge - Black Mesa had the most votes in 2008 as upcoming mod
so technically we won…again

Haha, nice. You guys deserve it for sure.

its sad its not number one :frowning:

im so excited about it being released, random fluids are exiting from random places on my body

I don’t care about these “magazine” results and ass**** who did statistics.
[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]I KNOW this mod is [COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]THE BEST.

ahahaha balck meas sux ololol

oh u

AH ME

Interesting comming from the guy who obviously wants to get banned. :meh:

Danny Smith please GTFO the internetz.

And I really do hope that this mod will live up to its name and rise to #1. The only thing I fear more than BMS never coming out is that it comes out, and sucks monkey balls.

But that won’t happen.

…right?

[COLOR=‘Red’]Calm down, bitches.

nah, it’s quite okay :meh:

I doubt anyone will think it sucks monkey balls. To be honest there has been plenty enough love just by seeing the media. I am not saying there wont be issues or concerns or preferences that folks wont agree with, I am just saying that I predict the overall feeling for Black Mesa will be a lot of love and tenderness.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
