How good will this mod run?

That is true, nVidia is where it’s at, ATI cards fail most of the the time.

nVidia=FTW!
ATI=FAIL

:freeman:

The NVIDIA card that you mention in this thread is not that powerful of a card. It’s the equivalent of the NVIDIA card that they put in a Macbook. It’s gonna be Black Mesa slideshow for ya, bro. Enjoy your choppy framerates and your low resolution graphics. If you don’t want this experience I just mentioned, please check out Newegg.com and get a powerful NVIDIA video card.

Dude, like you’ve already said this. We get, ur a ignorant fanboy who has no proof behind what ur saying. Im not saying nVIDIA sucks, im just saying ATI is just as good, but for less money in some cases.

Considering a 9800 GTX can run Crysis on all high… yes, because my old 7900 could run Half life 2 on all high at 60 fps(frame cap).

VALVe’s source game does support nVidia video card, when i try to run l4d2, it tell me update it lol

I suspect it does that for a lot of people. It did that to me for L4D and L4D2 even though my cards were perfectly up to date. Just tell it to shut up and play the game.

Chill out man! :freeman:
obviously nVidia beats ATI enough said. :expressionless:

Also, the GTX 295 is a dual GPU card and the 5870/4890 are single GPU cards, so dont bitch that some of the reviews have two 5870s or 4890s in crossfire against one 295.

Ya but most video cards like that aren’t available in Canada, and please don’t swear when posting on my threads.

Censorship :fffuuu: !

Imonfire, mind the fucking language. Pixo45, stop being a fucking noob.

Jokes I love ya man lets get married

Aww, moderation kicked in :frowning:
.

lol this thread has degenerated into a fanboy debate about whether nVidia or ATI are better cards. XD

Alright, does anyone have a legitimate question about performance?

I’ve only ever had ATI cards (Radeon 7000/Radeon 9000/Radeon 9600/Radeon X800/Radeon X1900/Radeon HD3870) and I’ve always been satisfied with them.

do Source supports crossfire ?

I’m pretty sure it does in some way.
.

thanks

I still think the nVidia corp. made a stupid joke. Why did nVidia stop making higher cards for AGP? Well the good news is I just found out my comp. is PCI-E. So yay me…

I would have you know there are 5200’s out there that have 256MB DDR
https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Geforce-FX5200-256MB-Graphics

This card can run a lot of games and will even be able to run BM for sure!

It runs AA 2.5 with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ quite well with 80-90FPS

The Geforce FX5200+ was a major leap above any previous technology…
It was originally a 128MB card and ran $120-130 now you can get it for $40-50 with 256MB

I am quite confident that this card will run Black Mesa just fine as it runs HL2 and EP1/2
I have had both versions of this card I actually really liked them, Very Reliable…
I am running on my girls PC right now and it has:
nVidia Corporation C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430] (rev a2)
nVidia Corporation MCP61 PCI Express bridge (rev a2)

It is integrated PCI-E
My other MB that has 8X AGP with the same processor and ram (2GB DDR2) with the FX 5200+ will run the games and look better with less distortion just because it is a dedicated GPU vs an Integrated GPU. So watch what you say around tech inclined people because you may be called out. This card might not be anywhere close to the speed of newer cards but it is still around and is a good cheap alternative people with older motherboards (AGP & PCI) can still play this game without having to upgrade and spend hundreds of $$$. I am going to upgrade so I can experience the full graphics of Black Mesa but others might not be able to do this as easily.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
