How do i install weapon models and skins to Hl2?

i downloaded some skins, made some folders(models, materials, sound, scrip) placed them right. and some how i still can’t get them to show up in game. i also bought the game off steam if that matters

for the pistol and 357…

steam>steamapps>sylars8>hl2>materials>models>weapons

then 9mmpistol and 357

for alyx, resistance, and soldiers

steam>apps>name>hl2?materials>models>

humans alyx and combinesoldiers

for the sounds i put them in hl2>materials>sound>pistol

It goes in steam/steamapps/yourname/HALF-LIFE 2/HL2/etc.
