Well, it’s 1 GB graphics card, 16 inch screen, really cool keyboard/kinda rubbery, so it will keep me happy for 2-3 years.
laptops skyrocketed in performance over the last couple of months, nowdays you can get a core i7 laptop with a decent graphics card for less than a thousand bucks.
I’ve got a Satellite L505D and am loving Win7 for the most part. Plays HL2, EP1, Minerva and SMOD fairly decent - not a screamer but at least better than my old P4 desktop for sure. Only issue is a bit of FPS drop in games using a lot of fog/smoke/clouds of blood and HDR. Was getting some weird issues with Synergy, but I was trying to host a server…
