HL2:EP3 at E3 [Rumor]

I was browsing the HL2 forums on Steam and I came across this thread:

https://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1271025

Take it as just a rumor or whatever, but it’s extremely interesting. Just Google E3 + episode 3 for more interesting reads!

Thoughts?

This link takes you straight to the pics that started the rumor I believe.
But its got so many good games in it I don’t believe its true.

I have nothing to say that wasn’t already said there:

I’m suspicious as to it’s authenticity (e.g. ME3 as Sony exclusive, games already known about like Halo Reach, typos like Project “Ghotam”), but it’s possible it’s an early draft.
I really hope it is real though, I see a lot of games I like :3

“The Crossing” …the fudge? It’s not dead?

Assuming this is real, this should be a pretty epic E3

I for one doesn’t believe this is real. Putting Mass Effect 3 as a Sony exclusive sounds pretty weird, as we haven’t heard anything of the game at all from Bioware. Also, Metroid: Oder M, a spelling mistake there. I also don’t see the point of showing Super Mario Galaxy 2 on E3 since it’s already going to be released.
Metal Gear Solid NES Collection? Does that mean they are going to make all the MGS games in 8-bit? No but really, it was called Metal Gear during the 8-bit time. It wasn’t until the PlayStation times it was named Metal Gear Solid.

Highly doubt this is real. Spelling errors, and some things that don’t make sense. Like Mass effect 3 a ps3 exclusive? And look at Natural Selection 2, I didn’t know Valve was making that, isn’t it just a handful of modders? It would be sick if it’s real, remake of Halo 1, Elder scrolls V, EP3. Even if Valve isn’t making NS 2, it’s still going to be fucking legit.

Why would Valve announce a second large title (one that everyone has been waiting for) right after Portal 2? That wouldn’t be a very smart marketing move tbh…

I’m also quite sure that Valve will release the first media for Ep.3 like they did with Portal 2. That would be awesome.

:mono:

It’s probably not real… Sadly.
Hopefully Valve reveals Episode 3 at E3 like they did HL2, but… It’s not likely.

I hope they show a VERY early beta, to calm the doubters, and then go into hiding for another 1-2 years and make it perfect.

Yes. If this is really the end of Gordon’s journey, I want him to go out with a bang! The stories of HL2 + EP1 and 2 are quite possibly the best in gaming and I would love if Episode 3 not only continued this but also beat it.
Valve has been leading to this game for a while. With so many unanswered questions it makes sense that they are taking a while to develop this. I do not care how long it takes. It will be worth the wait!

Although it is possible Episode 3 will be announced at E3, it is not confirmed by this. I mean, come on, Vice City 2? Rock Band Japan? I just don’t think this is legit.

Rock Band Japan? Man, that might just make me buy a console!

What the fuck is Natural Selection

A very popular Half-Life mod.

Fix’d

And they probably meant Natural Selection 2 which is going commercial.

That list is absolutely ridiculous and obviously fake. Not only are there so many spelling mistakes, but half the game titles there are the type of shit they would just put on there to cause an uproar. Final Fantasy VII HD, anyone?

To those of you who think this is probably fake; Congradulations, you have the ability to read & a basic knowledge of games that have come out in the past decade.

Still, the lulz I got from seeing “The Legend of Zelda: The Fall of Hyrule” made this thread worthwhile to me. These days Nintendo couldn’t come up with a bad fan-fic inspired name like that if they tried.

With the amount of bitching people do due to the changes/cuts made between trailers & final products, this seems like the last thing they’d do.

i don’t want to hear anything with epp3 and E3 when it is there it is there … got dissapointed enough last year !
