O_o
He doesn’t need it man, he just have to have a little something to take the edge off, keep him frosty.
I prefer to lay off the drugs while in combat, they do nothing but slow me down and dull my senses. Then again I’m not Gordon Freeman so I may just be trying to type with my elbows on that one.
those two games also came out in non HD pack form so you still had the origional glock, mp-5 and other such guns. so both blue shift and opposing force are cannon. because your entire basis for them not being cannon was the HD pack
No, his basis for them not being canon is statements made by Marc Laidlaw that are repeated ad nauseum around here to dumbasses (read: you) who cannot be bothered to read the FAQ or lurk a little bit prior to posting the same stupid questions and arguments that appear over and over. I lurk on this forum frequently but very rarely do I post. Perhaps you should consider doing the same.
Wouldn’t valve make op4 and blue shift cannon as seeing they sell it. Or do they sell it just for cash and disreguard the story in any way.
They sell it so people can remind others that it isn’t canon.
Not everything ever sold has had or needed a big warning label on it saying “THIS ISN’T CANON” because it simply shouldn’t need it. There aren’t any mods that are canon, but I play them. People need to play things to just enjoy them and stop worrying about what is or isn’t canon. And need to stop assuming or force feeding the notion that everything is.
It’s Gearbox, of course.
Its considered not canon because the games were not developed by Valve. They simply used the engine developed by Valve.
That and Marc Laidlaw said so, and he wrote the story in the first place.
Technically speaking, they simply used the engine developed by John Carmack, which was heavily edited by Valve.
They were going to be canon, but then Gearbox made changes that Valve didn’t approve, eg. Race X, barney not having his armor at the train stop, ect.
Parts of them are canon, such as BM being nuked.
Also, now that we have that out of the way:
Back to topic, someone talk about the HEV suit.
Is the storage module for the suit being changed in any way?
I’d assume so, but I don’t know what it would look like unless it was the holder from HL2 with glass on top.
How is the recharge hose being handled? Will it stay on the charger like in HL, or plug into the player entity dynamically?
Wasn’t the HEV holder shown in one of those mini-media pictures in the devblogs?
it’s also shown in one of the team member’s portfolio websites.
Yeah, but does the hose move and go into the player?
This would be very cool.
anally :fffuuu:
I seem to remember a dev saying that they didn’t.
