Help us make an awesome wiki!

would be cool in the left hand column.

Ok, two things.

When was the original teaser trailer released? Cuz it isnt in there.
When was the second trailer released? Cuz I have a November 30, 2008 date and a December 24th, 2008 date.

It was Nov 30

Looks like Jan. 26th 2007. That’s when it was uploaded to youtube.
It was released on ModDB Jan 27th.

Tadaa! Icon creator for those of you without photoshop, or if your lazy.

(please be kind to the webserver its hosted on, It’s a free account on x10)

Also I’ve started categorizing the media on the wiki. To do this just select a photo and press edit and add [[Category:Media Release XX]] with the proper number.

applauds Very well done sir my hat’s off to you.

Bravo! There is one issue, though. It doesn’t do 1 line text correctly.
Edit: Nevermind, however adding instructions for one-line text would be good.

bah, I’ll program it to add an enter if all text is on one line.

Also I finished tagging all of the Media Release 11 Pics here

No,it wasn’t on my Birth Day !

bah, I found one final contribution from Depressed panda that slipped by my filters the first time. Does anyone have an original copy of this pic?

thx, updated. Also working on making a visual time line page that can be used for quick reference of relative dates. I might be able to do it with just wiki formatting but I might have to ask a mod/dev to make a custom entry for me in the wiki table css.

EDIT: and as some one said a few pages ago, the fave icon is not working on the wiki.

Something is wrong with the teaser trailer date. Was the teaser trailer released on its own on Jan 26th, or was it released with the rest of the media on May 26th?

It couldn’t have, because the date on ModDB/youtube is generated by the site itself when the video is uploaded. It has to have been around at least since January 26th.

The mystery continues :freeman:

Alternate reality that no one noticed? Who knew youtube would be the source of any scientific evidence.

It could be possible that the teaser was released as soon as it was finished, seeing as it wasn’t made by any of the devs.

EDIT: time line is coming along. It should look boss when it’s competed. The one major downfall of it is that it wont be the easiest thing to edit because i’m kinda abusing wiki formatting to make it look the way I want. Preview on my user page

EDIT EDIT: Also the Idea being the time line is to not have content on it, Just a title and a link to the content. So it will mirror the history page but it can also link to smaller events that don’t make the history page cut.

Is it worth mentioning that the Loader from Half-Life is sometimes referred to the MTM 8 due to the marking on it’s side, while the Black Mesa Loader says STH 5 instead?

That timeline looks awesome!

Done in trivia.

The time line looks amazing. the only issue i have is that the links are off of text, if you hit between two lines of text you won’t be able to go to the link. I’m pretty laim when it comes to any code involving the internet, but is there anyway to expand a (invisible) box around the text in order to link to something?

I suppose you can make the link a picture, if that is possible in wiki format.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
