help hooking up my desktop to a flat screen tv

i’m trying to connect my desktop(ati all in wonder 7500) to my vizio flat screen. it works up to where i have to login to windows then it pops up with no signal. any one have any ideas?

Need more details.

How are you trying to hook it up? S-Video? You need to keep it connected to your computer screen too, so you can set up the driver options for connecting to the TV.

I am using S-Video. and my monitor is still hooked up

i have a similar problem, my computer, as with all hooked up to my Toshiba will say Video format not available, itll show motherboard menu load, os load then logon all fine, for some reason or another TV’s hate bios, and alot wont show up info on them.

If your hdtv has a VGA input use that instead.

if you have your heart set on s-video (you will get nuch better quality using vga or DVI/HDMI) some cards have a force video over svideo option. I know nVidia added this because some tv’s aren’t delectable by the video card. Also if you are on windows 7 play with the display on projector settings (WIN key + P)

Try an HDMI port.

Obvious suggestion is obvious, but make sure your gfx drivers are up to date.
