Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

Well, not completely. I mean, obviously you can’t really pull objects as you could in HL1, but you can still pick up and move things out of the way. For instance, the room that implements pulling in HL1 has a ‘path’ outlined heavy boxes stacked two high, then there’s the single box which you have to pull out, then walk through the path. That could be modified so you have to pick up and move a box out of a small opening to crawl through.

The are could also be merged with the following area (crowbar), and maybe have the vent in that one be covered (or filled) with a crate or two that has to be moved out of the way.

Buuuut those are with little thought towards pros/cons/practicality/etc.

I’ll hopefully have a first revision of the crowbar room up soon - I’m not quite at the flashlight section yet, but that will be built into the same vmf.
Sorry for the silence on my end, I’ve been busy lately and haven’t had much time for mapping.

Official media.

I’ve hit 75% of the terminal, so I thought it would be enough to make it official media.
This is pretty much how it is going to look like.
Its still in heavy W.I.P though, since its going to need more detail and new props (i.e tramtime monitor, the Sector sign) and texture fixing.
Also - floating Snarks.

Looks good! Seems to fit in well with BM

The hanging walkway looks like it’s not supported well enough though. But that could just be me.

yes,the catwalk seems a little against gravity,
it reminds me some funny lines in Freeman’s Mind

I like the cool security guy!

Overall, your work is good

Looks nice, good work
Personally I would have made the entrance more like the platform at the very beginning of the BM tram sequence, to differentiate it in terms of security level and theme.
Still I guess personal preference really, it’s working out nice your way.

Looks very nice indeed, it looks just like BM, but with a little difference

Yeah, maybe more supports for the catwalk.

Well I was going that way in an earlier build, but later ive played through the original and looked up some screenshots from earlier hazard cpurse attempts and then this came up in my head.

also thanks for the compliments

Also, update.

Ridiculously heavy WIP. Including the lighting. Especially the lighting.

So in fact we can walk down those supports… Cause as it seems now, they are perfect ramps to walk on

I`ve put a player clip on the rails :p.But a friend of mine will be fixing the supports.

Can u not use the same setup as in BM, cause it looks like the samen entrance a bit, except for those chairs on it

Well, the security filter has.alot to do with the current dialogue so no :stuck_out_tongue:

What areas are not started yet?

As far aa I know the intro area is done for 55 percent the 1st room is done but needs polishing the HEV room needs texturing and lighting, the hallways to the course are orangemapped and alot of other areas are orangemapped and are gettin textured. The only thing we need is the Gina model finished, (i) need voice actors and choreographers for the intro.

A few rooms are nonexistent still, most notably the physics room. But we have a good portion of the course orangemapped. It’s not playable from start to finish if that’s what you’re asking.

OK Thanks! I’m just excited to perform a speedrun on the Hazard Course.

EDIT: If there were tram time tables, can you put the time there 7: 30? My reference: https://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/May_16#May_16

Who would have thought that HL1 only happened 2 days. May 16 - Black Mesa Inbound - Apprehension, May 17 - Residue Processing - Endgame

The LCD screen is currently made of Black Mesa’s content :fffuuu:
But I will ask Lars if he can make a LCD screen similiar to the current one, including that time ofcourse and make something realistic out of it.
Anyway, did CatzEyes did the transitsystem voice, or was it the one who voiced the female scientists?
Tommorow I’m going to post finished media.I hope I can make it, because at the moment I’m mixing 6 other developments projects with my school.

Catz did the transit system PA, yeah.

Media release not reachable.
Also, are there any concept artist out here who can draw a lobby?
The lobby before you enter the course.
