Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

When you finish the project it will contain modified scenes.image because you’re adding new choreography right ? So how am I gonna play surface tension uncut missions if I install this ? Will it be compatibile with this project or not ?

There wont be no problem.
Just rebuild the scenes.image in faceposer and you’re done.
It will become a kind of a problem if Text keeps updating it, becaus then you have to rebuild scenes.image every time.

If possible, we could try collaborating with other projects to have a standardized scenes.image.

That’d probably be best for everyone. A lot of people on ModDB like the idea of all three mods playing with each other.

You mean Uplink, ours, and Text his project right?

Indeed.

Shall we go ahead and discuss with them, then?

Why the flip not?
They’re both active forum members, it’s probably incredibly easy to contact them.

I think I have the Sprint-Jump room coming along nicely. I’ll do one more compile of the area and then upload. Looking pretty good, I must say. :3

EDIT: You know what, I’ll do a full compile of everything I’ve done so far, just for fun. We’ll see how nicely that goes…

EDIT2: Not nicely at all. I ran into the BSP vertex limit. Hmm.

Well, full compile of the merged was a little under 20 minutes, but then again that was with HDR off, and who knows what else you’ve added other than you. I’ll check it out as soon as I get to my computer.

I’ve decided. We need to split my gigantic basicmovement megamap. If I’m going over the BSP vertex limit right now, then there’s no way I can fit the rest of the map in there.

I’ll probably make the split right after the crouch-jump room.

I was worried about that. Yeah, the crouch_jump tunnel is the best place to split it, just like the original.

Uploaded the latest version of the basic movement map. Yes, it’s cordon-enabled, and no, I haven’t split the level transitions yet. I’ll do that tomorrow.

Requires the latest version of my modified bms_english.txt in order to work! Located in my dropbox folder.

I’m done for tonight. That was a long day… phew.

Good job, pat your self on the back. Now the mod can die happy.
I think either the sprint and “lift legs” hints should be closer together or shown at the same time. It takes a bit after you reach that last jump before it actually tells you how to do it.
Your vertical space fetish is showing, by the way. Looks nice.

Can you show the sprint-jump and crouch-jump room screenshot even it’s not polished yet?

It’s actually possible to make all of those jumps without lifting your legs, which is why I wait until the player fails a couple of times before showing it.

Since if they manage to make the jumps without doing it, the player is probably skilled enough to know it, and there is no reason to show the hint to them.

Look on ModDB for the crouch-jump room.

I’m not sure if I want to take pictures of the sprint-jump room. It’s difficult to capture the sense of it in a screenshot.

Ah, I see. I couldn’t make that jump without crouching, myself. And trust me, I tried at least 25 times. I suck, so much.

Oh, one more thing, the water under the grates give a neat reflection, but it looks odd because the water is so dark, you can’t really see it. Think you can add a light inside of it? That or a grate with thicker gaps. Just something to make it more obvious that there’s water in there.

So, I know I haven’t been overly active lately, due to uni applications, the holidays, and a drop in motivation, but I go back to school today, and hopefully I can get some computer time there soon to download the latest revisions of everything, get all the latest props, look through your maps, and get back my motivation.

Sounds good. I’m moving all of the files in my folder from earlier than this year into folder named “OLD.” They’re only their to keep “record” of them I guess you could say. They’ll all old, outdated and probably replaced as well. Everything else will is up to date. I’ll upload some fresh, full compiled .bsps with HDR for your return, Jeff!

Good idea. I was wondering what to do with that.

Yayy!
