Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

Alright, well, can we get back to the topic of the Hazard Course, please?

No, lets talk about pancakes :3.

I would like to add quickly that the V-22 Osprey didn’t enter service until 2007, supporting the 2008 theory. Imo in HL1 they added the V-22 with the intention that the aircraft would serve in the future some day, and after that is when the RC happens.

SO about them Hazard Courses…

I think Hazard Courses is a pretty cool guy.

Anyway, there should be a new screenie coming up soon.

Anthropomorphising this Issue is not going to help anything…as in You Suck at Delaying…

Remember: This is not funny! (at any rate)

This is NOT a ‘wakeup call’

Please, recollect your thoughts on how this used to be about FANS giving FANS a chance to indulge in their >>wired<< passion?

We do not need pseudo-professional-professionalism! Get over yourselfs and just do a freakin’ Alpha…plz

^What the fuck?

Yes, exactly…:pirate:

You may ban the ‘SHIT’ out of me…still, my point is valid…

:frowning: No your point is not valid for me since I don’t understand any shit of it because it came out of nowhere.

There is not that much to understand, is there? This, being a Mod dedicated to an ambiguous part of an unambiguous game-franchise? Oh, geeee…

Well I first like to know what you are talking about because your statement came out of nowhere…

Ibon, you’re not making much sense. I don’t think anyone has a clue what you’re talking about.

Ok, I do understand your “calling it out of nowhere”… Here we go: The development of “BMS: Hazard-Course” has been somewhat secluded to say the least. Regardless, there are even some news-items dedicated to this project: https://zockah.de/news/black-mesa-hazard-course-mod/ (yeah, german…I know)

At any rate, I (personally) strongly believe that this project could be much further along if it weren’t for some people to hold it back… I can call them out if you so desire (…)

{not interested in a puny flamewar…}

Thanks for the explaination.
Let me clear some things up though  .
1.The most important reason why this project took way to long to be in at alpha stage is because of the huge communication gap it had back in oktober 2012 till lets say november 2012.
2.Everyone can join this project, as long you got the required skills.
3.Most applicants they receive are people who want to get paid, or who want to just get their hands on an alpha build.
We could be much further, if the ModDB and Black Mesa: Source community was not such a alpha grabby wanker and contributed more.
EDIT:Oh wow, even Germans noticed the HC mod?
lol

k, I think we have an understanding as to where you (as a developer) are coming from. You see, I am not interested in becoming an “alpha-tester” or anything… I am only dissatisfied/unhappy with the way this entire project is progressing. From my point of view, this should have been in a “beta-stage” a looooong time ago. (again, from my point of view) This should not have taken this long and I have a very strong feeling that the progression of assembly is being procrastinated artificially…

Ibon I would remove that link before a mod sees it.

You need to keep in mind that this is a project made by a small group of Half-Life fans across the world and most of them are still in college or high school (or are still looking for a job :stuck_out_tongue: ).
We shouldnt complain if you ask me.There were like 2 attempts to recreate the Hazard Course, and I think this team is the first one that hit the alpha stage.

Ibon, nobody owes you anything. If you don’t like the way things are going, help out or start building the HC yourself.

Guys, thank you for your feedback. I do have a very good understanding of the possible pitfalls of a project “this scale”. I also DO recognize the effort put into this project by each contributing member. THX to all of you! I kneel before you!

Still, I am somewhat unhappy with the progression of this mod.

See, I have been following this thread since it’s very inception and I can only note that

a) https://www.portal2sounds.com/1156
b) There should be a leader (not me)
c) Crypt, U are not it…
d) you should incorporate some fan-feedback
e) not just “select-alpha-alphas”
d) I forget the point I am trying to make…

Is it just me? If so, plz kill me…

I’m disappointed with the development speed as well. You have to keep in mind though that this is just a community project, not a full modding team. We just don’t have the time to dedicate 24/7 of our lives to the project.

I myself have just applied to college. Do you understand how time-consuming that is in my region?

I will tell you all right now that my school grades have been suffering because I’ve dedicated more time to this project than doing homework and study. That’s right. Y’all go ahead and feel guilty now. :meh:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
