Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

FUCK HAZZARD CUORSE WHERE IS HALF LIFE 3

And also, this German article as well mate.

Those at Kotaku are no different than the communities on other gaming websites. There are the same in French, only with less humor and more butthurt.

Still, it’s nice Kotaku covered the mod. I don’t think they usually take an interest in mods at all apart from those released on Steam.

Iunno, I think Kotaku is the only tech blog I actively avoid comments on. It’s the Youtube of techy sites, far as I can tell.

Though honestly, it does remind me how glad I am that I didn’t quit a couple years ago when I thought everyone would be able to take care of it all.

Well it has interesting articles and chronicles, but it seems video game commentaries have grown worse in the last years.

Hey, just saw this.

Congratulations guys!

Hit me up when you gets reach a good showy-offy state for streaming. I’d love to do a Test Chamber episode with you guys.

He never tells us anything about the Eggs, until they get dropped on your head!

All of us usually kind of keep our eggs to ourselves. That way we surprise each other when another one of us finds it and goes “DKY WHAT DID YOU DO TO THIS MAP”

Alas, poor Yorick.

Thanks for the answer

This may be a strange favor to ask … but… Could you tell me (or us) the whole story of the HC development from the beginning? … You know, something like the BM mod has, including the timeline … Now, I know cca 3 years and cca 8 years is a big difference, but still … I’m curious

I was working on something like that to post post-release if anyone was interested, but if you’d really like, I could explain in detail sooner.

That’s ok, I can wait after the release of HC … you’ll have release date included

I know this project has been around forever, but if my beta application from godknowswhen is still floating around, so am I!

Other than that, glad to see progress is a thing that is still happening, and that the release is a thing that we are approaching at a pace of some description.

Also, good luck, and thanks for making this!

Congratulations on going in to a beta stage!

It’s been a long time in the making, I still wish I had had more time when a couple of us started the project all those years ago! In fact I still have some of the early concept work somewhere… anyway I digress… I’m looking forward to giving the HC a play

If you still have that early material, perhaps you could share them again (if we don’t already have them)? As Crypt mentioned, we’re planning to do a bit of a “History of Hazard Course Development” thingy to go with the mod after we release, and the original stuff would be great to have on the timeline!

Looking forward to it

I’ll see what I can dig out! Do you have a stash of older materials that you do still have somewhere? It’d be interesting to have a look through them

I know this was the original (now archived) post which formed the initial group… Hazard Course - it includes some of my really early mapping tests and some odd other bits IIRC.

Duuude, we have all sorts of oldies laying around, we’ll release at the very least a crap ton of screens along with the history bit.
In fact, we’re even in talks to release all 4 main Alpha builds sometime post-release.

Sweet! I can’t wait to see it all together

Hello, what is the release date for Black Mesa Hazard Course?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
