Uhh maybe that was the point?
I’m gonna take a break of 2 - 3 months.
Bye all.
I think it’s pretty great that almost every time we get a new page, the first post on it is regarding this goddamn ghost page.
I might take a small break and not be as active as I once was. I’ll still fix stuff up in my spare time though. It’s just that I don’t want to get my college admission rescinded.
I’ll be around on Skype and Steam, and I’ll still troll this thread if anyone needs me.

don’t let it happen guys
We aren’t gon’ die.
It’s okay.
I’m a certified lifeguard. I’m trained in first aid, CPR, and water rescue. The project will survive. B)
You should make it so that if the user starts from the Hazard Course, it’ll lead directly into Black Mesa Inbound. Specifically, after completing the Course, the freight tram takes Gordon to the exit (like in the original), which opens at a Black Mesa Personnel Transportation system tram station. The freight tram in the Hazard Course will have been programmed to automatically reverse back to its starting point once the user disembarks from it. Gordon will take a Personnel Transportation tram from that particular Sector A Training Facility train station to the Level 3 Dormitories Black Mesa Personnel Transportation system tram station. Than, he’ll get on the tram that takes him from the Level 3 Dormitories to the Sector C Test Labs. His getting on that last tram, of course, kicks off Black Mesa Inbound. I used the Transit System Map in Half-Life: Blue Shift as a reference for how the stations connect.
Not a bad idea imo.But I think the others disagree with this.
I agree with it! But somehow don’t agree since Insecurity has its version of Black Mesa Outbound.
Also, are the tram rails electrified too? The players may just walk to the exit.
Did Valve, Mr. Laidlaw or anyone ever uncover how close the Level 3 Dormitories and Sector A Training Facility are? Perhaps the Hazard Course tram ride could be a little longer, leading to “around the corner” tram stop, from which a corridor would lead to the Inbound train station?
Not necessarily entering the tram, it can fade out as you’re about to…
Would be great to bind it together indeed
The one problem I can see with binding them together is that the Hazard Course is, canonically speaking, Gordon’s job training, getting to know how to use the HEV suit before he starts at his position. Disregarding for a moment that there’s generally a day minimum wait between job training and the start of the employment proper, that would also make Black Mesa happen on Gordon’s first day of work, which, looking at both Half-Life and Black Mesa, just isn’t the case.
How would everybody know and be familiar with the new guy?
It’s a cool idea, it just doesn’t quite work in terms of storyline.
Also, as far as the ending goes, don’t worry, we’ve got something in the works.
Great!
Maybe it was a refreshment course?
Yes, cause in Black Mesa they know him
That, or the Hazard Course is happening a month before the incident, but getting on that tram is just a daily thing for him, so HC skips the month by a simple fade to black!
How that would work with my suggestion: He gets on the platfom via an elevator ride from the lower ends of the facility, while his daily drill is getting on in by taking a staircase from higher levels. With a guard saying something along “Sorry, Dr… Freeman, you can’t return to the dormitories now.”
But I wonder why he’s too late at work!
That is not Gordon’s first day of work at Black Mesa. It’s his first day working in Anomalous Materials Labs. (Maybe he’s working alongside with Barney before the incident - HL2 reference). The incident and training happened at the same day. By making the course larger and longer, the hazard course devs can create a reason for him being late.
EDIT: Maybe you can link it to Level 3 Dormitories without linking it with Insecurity. When you finish the tram tutorial, there can be no fade to black yet. Let there be an elevator and fade to black or at the elevator, you can link it to inbound by linking the elevator to the upper floor of the Level 3 Dormitories and you have to walk to the intro tram and then fade to black or it can also link to Chapter 1.
The incident happened in the Same day.30 minuten to be before the incident was Gordons AT hc.I dont know wat Jeff is planning for THE ending though.
