Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

Good. Put the correct file in the folder next time.

EDIT: blah

EDIT2: Never mind. I think.

Shut up.

Jeff and I agreed that a simple rotate and fit solution would fix one of those “circumstances,” and so far it’s fine. The brushwork is a little kooky but it’s pretty seamless and so far nothing’s broken.

My main concern is that there are many instances that where I put them together, the maps are split by the highlighted 1024x1024x1024 visleaf dividers, which makes things kind of weird. It’s not a huge issue though, I guess.

Just get a combined map going, and put it into Final when you two are done. Make sure the tram station is on the grid, since a lot of it isn’t.

Okay, then. Would you say anything’s bad enough to be redone? I can either go and aline what I can to the grid, or the brushwork can be be redone entirely (shudder). And although I really don’t wanna have to do the latter so far into development, if it absolutely need to be done then so be it, it shouldn’t take too long since the design is already done.

When will Hazard Course be done? :retard:

Yes.

When we feel like it.™

Sigh. Anyway, I don’t know. At the very least, I’d like to have the tram tunnels align to the grid. The thing is, it’s absolute hell trying to fit everything together since the maps don’t conform to brush sizes of powers of 2… Especially Jeff’s maps, as well as the maps that Box left behind. :expressionless:

So because the sizing is extremely arbitrary, there are visleafs being divided in really odd locations, and the different map segments don’t line up properly. I don’t know what to say. The point of the grid is to make this type of work easier… why does nobody use it? :frowning:

I don’t understand Hammer at all, so I don’t know if it’s possible to move everything on the grid?

Would love a walkthrough video when it’s all linked up and ready to be shown :3

Sorry, sorry, my bad. Horribly messy mapping habits. I’m trying to break the habit of using 6-width walls and 1-unit grid size.

It can be fixed. Hopefully. :retard:

Don’t we all, don’t wel all?

Ouch.

Well I hope it can get fixed at some point. I’m having trouble aligning a lot of stuff with each other maps, sooo any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Also, there are a lot of brushes that would work better as func_detail. Probably worth doing.

Wrong.
Consequences.

At the same time I buy ASRT.
Could be soon, could be never.

I don’t think that word means what you think it should mean in this context…

By the way, what is written in the gamemenu.res
is it

“HAZARD COURSE” or “GameUI_TrainingRoom”?

Aww shucks.
I’ll upload in a few minutes.
Plus texture.

Alpha test candidate maps (HDR only) have been uploaded. Everyone give the thumbs up before we begin testing.

Those versions of the maps are the official alphas, regardless of whether or not you have made progress in the meantime.

If there are any glaring errors, report them to me and I’ll fix them. No major geometry or feature changes, please. If you want to make major changes, do it to your own versions and we’ll incorporate them into the next round of finals.

Is the Alpha going to be public? Can I get in? :stuck_out_tongue:
