Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

That’s a reasonable explanation. If the music is your passion, go for it! Best of luck!

lul fuck money
the only thing i care about is sharing music with people and live life to its fullest
I’ll maybe be able to make some tracks for the HC though, just email me when youre at that point.

Okay then. Crypt, I hereby assign you to cover everything that Box left. Since I already have plenty of stuff on my hands… Heh. :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright I’ll pick up as soon as I feel like it. :stuck_out_tongue:

I got the tram station covered.
Or, I will once all of the relevant props are downloaded. Only 651 files to go…
In the meantime I’ll continue working on the lobby. I’ve got some HR offices added in as eye-candy, perhaps we should all work there like the BM devs did in AM and QE? :stuck_out_tongue:

You are downloading them in a .zip and not individually, right? I don’t know how you’d be able to tell the exact number of files left unless you’re doing them one by one.
Is it really needed for all of us? I have no qualms really, but it’s a pretty small area for 3 or 4 mappers.

I’ll probably get to working on the first holo room later tonight. Add in some new details and what-not.

Doing it via the dropbox client, so it tells me how many individual files, the speed, and how long it’s going to take at the current speed. Occasionally it also advises me to get a snack bar. :stuck_out_tongue:
I probably didn’t explain properly. You mean you think I meant we should all work on the lobby, right?
What I meant to say was we should have ingame offices/desks for ourselves, like how you can find lockers and workspaces bearing the real names of the BM devs ingame.

Additionally, you should make in-game offices & desks for the guys who worked on the Hazard Course in the actual Half-Life 1.

Screw that shit.

Oh! That’s what you meant. Well then yeah, sounds good and fine to me. I recall Dky suggesting basing the scientists loosely on ourselves as well.

Yeah. Since we have a small enough team, and the Hazard Course is presumably staffed by a relatively small group of scientists, I say we should each get a scientist character once we start writing lines and choreo further down the road.

I don’t think my personality is very Half-Life scientist-like.

That’s up to the writer to decide. Heh.

Fuck you and your faggoty-ass writers.

I’m out of ideas on what to do with the healthkit room. Nothing’s really coming to me. It’s kind of boring in there and I don’t know what to do to make it cool or awesome.

I have the bridge room up and going though. Gonna upload tonight.

EDIT: Done. If anyone feels like they’re up for trying stuff out in the health room, send me a message and we’ll talk.

I have one (probably crappy) idea, but it involves making a scientist HEV model. Basically, a scientist instructor tres to demonstrate how to use the health charger and something goes awry. That’s all I got. :retard:

Most likely not worth the effort but there’s my two pennies.

EDIT: Or the scientists think the Gina unit is down in that area and one of the guards is fixing it, so the scientist tries to explain, then just when he’s about finished, the hologram pops back on and starts speaking, startling the guy. The security guard gives out a chuckling, “Fixed it.”

There’s almost a nickel in this post.

Eh, seems a bit cumbersome. That room has always been boring with nothing to really do in it except listen and wait. Don’t think you can do much with it that’s not excessive. Maybe just add some neat eye-candy somehow.

Pretty much. We start the Course with the assumption that they’re pretty much ready for Gordon when it begins. I don’t think we should be randomly stuffing scripted sequences in places just for fun… although to be honest we should be leaving that sort of discussion until after we lock in the mechanics.

But anyway, I was more talking about design and aesthetics rather than gameplay. The room is an empty box, which is boring. I kind of added some lights, but there doesn’t seem to be all that much I can do to spice it up like the other rooms.

Would it be possible to have it on a catwalk suspended in a large water processing room? Sewage running beneath you, possibly a small sewage waterfall, something like that?

Dunno about that. You’d have to take a look and see.

Why don’t you take a look and see, then feed me some suggestions?

I figured the health kit room would be in the same area as the fall damage room since…y’know, people jump off that thing and hurt themselves. Other than that, I’m not sure exactly what you can do with it in terms of design.
