Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

I’ve always thought 2009. It’s the most technologically advanced of the decade (obviously) and I like to think Shephard’s Mind is canon when he references Obama. :retard:

His training was scheduled.

The experiment was early because the one who delivered the specimen is very fast in going places. (G-man)

Whats the source of that?
As far as I know, Breen was always the administrator.
And if he did get the sample, where would it come from?
Sector E?Sector F?

The G-Man, of course.

Holy hell, I know these ghost pages aren’t huge bothers, but they’re seriously becoming annoying.

But those girl pushed the wagon with the specimen on it

In Decay and Blue Shift they did (Gearbox works, by the way) but it’s stated in episode two that the G-Man switched out the samples, or brought the new one to be switched or something along those lines.

Anyway, Jeff, whatcha got planned?

I was thinking, assuming we got Mr. Hillard and Mr. Sisk on board, that we could have Dr. Kleiner introduce Eli to Gordon after he completes the course. Sort of a
“Good show, Gordon, and welcome to the Black Mesa team!”
“Izzy, I think introductions are in order…?”
“What? Oh, yes, Eli, this is Gordon. Gordon, meet my friend and colleague Eli Vance. Your colleague now as well, of course.”

kind of idea. Just to add a hint more backstory. [Disclaimer: This script and idea are in no way final, and at least the former is pretty terrible]

As for the actual enviroment, I have no clue, but I’m sure we’ll think of something. Perhaps a nice view…

That would be assuming the Anomalous Materials lab team leave their newest member use expensive lab equipment on his first day work, without meeting the rest of the team, kinda odd. it’s like getting practical lessons before the theory.

Btw, since Black Mesa did not make any reference to Aperture, maybe you can add one on the Hazard Course, like two scientists tchating in one of the observation booth:
“We could really use some automated panels for this part…”
“And make it looks like the shiny test chambers of those Michigan lunatics? chuckles No thanks.”
“At least THEY don’t have to refurbish their rooms by themselves, I’m tired of replacing those breakable obstacles…”

Well, only Kleiner can remain. I guess he can meet Eli at where he’s supposed to be.

Do you guys need a Gina model for this?? at some point im going to have to make one for Black-Mesa: Insecurity and I might give the model to you guys for this project (after I talk with my dev partner and he gives the ok).
You can see some of my characters in the Black-Mesa Blue Shift thread.

We do have a gina in the works, but last I checked she was a bit…decapitated.
The entire team would have to clear it, but I personally have no problem with whichever team finishes on her first sharing the results. Consistency between all these addons would be brilliant.

Maybe.
If Michael can finish the model its head, we’ll see.

Guess we’ll see who finishes first and possibly compare quality?

Hillard emailed me saying he’s interested, so when we get the writing finalized that part’s in check. I have yet to contact Sisk, though. The only contact info I can find on him is his Steam, and I doubt he’ll just blindly accept a friend invite so we can have a chat about it. We might have to do some searchin’.

If we do end up going back to the intro tram station they might be able to have their talk on the catwalk, maybe waling towards the tram or something. Possibly even on the tram.

Writing comes AFTER we’ve locked in the gameplay mechanics. Which is almost feature-complete, but could use slight tweaking and perhaps preliminary alpha first.

We only need the face, since we have the female HEV suit in order. But if you can get the face rigged and going too, I’d be glad to try it out. We’ll just have to clear it with Michael, if he’s okay with it.

Oh also, DKY, I have some bad news about your map. I kinda…ran over your compile process with my block light. Then backed up over it.
It’s… it’s mostly okay now, but not as pretty as I had hoped to make it. There are no more block light grids than you had already.

Don’t use Block Light grids unless you really think they make the area cooler… They’re extremely expensive, and the map is large enough already.

If you can, keep the block light brushes where I have them already (copy them over if you have to), and limit any further Block Light grids to places where you know for a fact that the player will be looking at the shadows that they cast. Anywhere else, and it’s a waste of resources.

Anywhere else and it breaks the compile tools. :stuck_out_tongue:
I was hoping to get some nice shadows in the steam room, since there are grates in there.
Didn’t work out so well. The extra grids are deleted now.

Does it break VBSP, or VRAD?

If it breaks VBSP, then oh well… nothing you can do. But if it breaks VRAD, and you have a 64-bit OS, try enabling LAA mode for VRAD.exe. If you don’t have a 64-bit OS, send it to me to compile.

Are you done on the valve control room? I’m just wondering if you removed the shortcut that can make with the long jump module.

As far as I´ve seen theres no progess at that point.
Also as for the Gina model, I think we need to let the community decide which looks the best (if zero is willing to release a render). No idea why, but I got a feeling after release of both mods, both communitys go "DURR THAT SUIT SUX.INSECURITY ISH WAY BETTA

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
