Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

Wait, are you guys from America?
That would mean you will publish the mod on 29th, but i will see it on the 30th.

So as the newest guy helping out with BM:HC I drew the short straw to let you guys know that the team is having some difficulty getting the game uploaded. It’s coming, the build is done, but there’s been an unexpected outage in service on the end of the person who has it. I promise you that we’re probably the most excited people in the world to get this released right now, and the most panicked that it hasn’t gone up yet. Anyway, in summary:

Just to clarify, is this release only for the mod version of BM?

“This continent”, being, as Johnwalter guessed, North America.
As soon as we’re able to get back in contact with our shipping leader (DKY) we can get the build uploaded and out to you guys. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT: Yes, this release is for the mod version. We’ll begin the process of porting to the Steam version soon.

EDIT2: We have heard back from DKY.

If all goes well we will have the course up soon.

I want to make it 100% clear that the hazard course team is not delaying due to early celebration and unnecessary excess.

I think that comment goes well with your profile pic. This probably means the Hazard Course won’t have a recreational park too.

Jeez, I hope he won´t accidentally drop his computer in the water… =O

Crap, now I’m going to have to check if I still have the mod version somewhere.

How long do you think it’ll take to port to the Steam version?

So is it safe to say that he’s going through a hazard course to upload Hazard Course?

You can say that.

The data has been recovered from the speedboat! It’s almost here.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. It would appear Hell has frozen over.

You’ll be able to read the “official” announcement in all its glory over on ModDB later, but if you’d rather not, here’s the gist: As of now, Black Mesa: Hazard Course is officially available for download for the free version of Black Mesa. It took way too long for a variety of reasons, but it’s ready now!

“But wait, where’s the Steam version?!”
As we’ve said before, there’s a couple obstacles. Most of them are relatively small and shouldn’t be too hard to take care of, but some are show-stopping bugs with Black Mesa that are totally out of our control. We’ve contacted the guys over at CC about it, so let’s hope they can get those sorted eventually. We know it’s been a long time, but we promised we’d release in 2015, so we don’t want to delay the mod any longer while waiting for the Steam version.

In the meantime, we’ll have some celebratory rest, then get back to working on getting the Steam version ready as much as we can. For that, we’ll be implementing some stuff we had to cut due to time constraints, misc tidbits here and there, I’ll be upgrading stuff I didn’t have time to do. Additionally, we’ll be keeping a close eye on feedback, because we’ll be keeping that in mind for Steam as well. This thread ain’t goin’ anywhere.

On another note, we all really enjoyed working together, and we’re so much better at it than we used to be, both teamwork, and general development. So much so that we’ve finally decided to be an “actual” dev team and work together on larger projects in the future. Y’know, instead of teaming up for HC and calling it quits. You’re looking at the Lead Developers of PSR!

Looking at that fantastic logo DKY and I designed, reading the name, seeing an acronym, I know what you’re all gonna ask: What are you gonna work on after HC?

Stuff. That’s not for this thread. Maybe another thread. Later.

Anyway, I did the credits thing everywhere else, so I’m gonna do them here, too. Feel free to ignore the rest of this post, these people aren’t important.

Oh god, I hope we didn’t fuck this up.

YUSSSSSSSSSSS

Fantastic! Time to dust off that mod version…

Sweet, I still have the mod version installed. Gonna try this out once I get home!

Some one post a video for thoughs of us with out the mod version.

Reminds me, I’m not a Let’s Play type, but I’m personally interested in any and all Let’s Plays of Hazard Course.

Grats’ on release guys!

After a day of stressful wondering whether or not we’d actually make release, this feels nice.

You’d probably need a few videos to see absolutely everything the Course has to offer.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
