Has the BM website been slow lately?

Just don’t go crazy on us and do something bad

Our government will end up getting monkeys to censor each data packet :frowning:

TOO MANY 1’S, NOT ENOUGH 0’S.

Censorship, Do not want.

Eh, sometimes it tends to go down for at a short time seemingly randomly, but it’s nothing hitting the refresh button or waiting a couple minutes (then reloading the page) can’t fix.

I knew it was in Montreal and nobody believed me.

I only get 11ms ping all the way to the server so it’s no wonder.

That’s 42 miles away from me. I still get the BM servers as unresponsive sometimes though.

that’s not how you test ping to a site

open cmd and type tracert blackmesasource.com and note the last number.

or (also in cmd) ping blackmesasource.com

My ping averages at 227 ms for this site.
Only for this site.

227 seconds?

HAHAHAHAHA

Oh my. Fixed.

In case anyone has been having issues over the past half hour or so I have now taken care of the issue. If anyone is still having slow loading times let me know.

Thanks feller, it was getting a bit sluggish on me.

Ya… One of the other sites on the server was using a shitload of connections which pretty much halted Apache, so I was testing and finally implemented a connection limiter for that site :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been getting database connection errors off and on all day, the last one took about 20 minutes before I could get this page to load. It only happens when I’m in https://forums.blackmesasource.com. I’ve tried Firefox and IE and they both got the same error messages.

We have been dealing with a bit of high load on the current server today. The issue has been taken care of. Sorry about that.

No worries, it seems to be working much better now. Thank you!

Well… the connection limiter didn’t work too well…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
